I think they both are good looking, with GeOW2 focusing on detailed textures and destructive environements, while R2 is focusing on open ended warfare environments, huge enemies (and in some cases lots of them too), and tons of players in one environment, you can see why people say GeOW2 looks better. GeOW2 is focusing on smaller environments, with less enemies, therefore enabling the developers to create more detailed textures, but R2 is focusing on large, open ended environments and swarms of enemies, but with the price of slightly worse textures.

However, they both look good to me.

I play on a SDTV btw, dunno if that factors anything gameplay wise.

Anyway, both these games look very good. Fallout 3 looks great, though I am a little bummed about DLC. But resistance 2 looks utterly amazing. I dunno guys, help me pick.

Ok, I own a ps3 and a wii, but I think The Conduit will finally actually be a good hardcore fps for the Wii. I am glad to see someone trying to develop a good hardcore FPS for the Wii, unlike other companies that develop for the Wii.

True Story

I was told of a party last week at a local club, and I was asked to bring a video game console for general entertainment. Of course, my friends were coming along so I decided to tag along. I got to the club early and set up my Ps3 on a big HDTV, and I put a large selection of games beside it, and 4 controllers along a table so people can play. I turned on the ps3 and set up Call of Duty 4 as the first game to be played. At about that time, people started coming, some I recognized, some I did not. My friends eventually came a little while afterwards, but the party had yet not officially started (as the bartender was not yet there, you know how important a bartender is at a party).

Anyways my friends come up to me and this is the following conversation that ensues:

Me: Hello, guys.

Friend 1, 2, and 3: Hey, what'cha got there?

Me: Oh, this is my ps3. I decided to bring something other then my wii this time, you know, to mix things up a bit.

Friend 1: ....

Friend 2: *laughs a bit*

Friend 3: Hey, thats pretty cool.

Friend 2: Uh..no it isn't. Why didn't you get a 360 (directed at me)?

Me: Well, I had a large selection of Ps1 and Ps2 games before I bought it, and I was looking forward to games like FFXIII, Resistance (or, before I got my ps3, I-8), Socom and the Ratchet and Clank series (and hopefully Jak and Daxter).

Friend 1: Psh, Halo and Gear of War rock

Me: Yeah, I have played them as well.

Friend 2: You know what, let me show you the true potential of the ps3.

Friend 3: *alarmed face*

*friend 2 takes ps3 and slams it down on the ground*

Me: What the hell are you doing?!

Friend 2: Get a 360, idiot. *laughs*

Friend 1: *laughs with Friend 2*

*Friend 1 and Friend 2 leave*

Friend 3: Ouch, sorry dude.

Me: ....Its alright man.

And that was that. $150 for repairs.. I'm also thinking of presenting Friend 2 with a nice large cheque to pay for the damages. Anyways, yeah, thats my story.
