I've been here for a few years, and I have to say that it has calmed way down recently. The posts aren't as ill-thought out as they used to be. The average IQ in system wars is growing :(
If it comes out on PC, I'll probably just pirate the game To Be honest. I buy games that I think the companies deserve respect for ex:CoD4, SC, WOW, Orange Box, Bioshock, Oblivion etc. Some top teir games. But when it comes to Treyarch and the steaming pile of S*** that was CoD3 (it wasn't even released on PC), I probably won't repect them much for CoD5. I don't plan on getting it at all if it comes out on consoles only.
How does releasing it in 2010 or 2011 hurt those who bought it in 2006 or 2007? That gives those late adopters 3-4 yrs to enjoy the games, and I'm guessing they'll have it backwards compatible, so even if you do miss out on game because you wait until 2009 to buy the system, you probably won't be out of luck. I'm no lemming, but I'm pointing out that that's a fairly weak argument.
Microsoft is all about money. They were out of the gates first this gen and made money. Why not try again?
Well, I gotta say, I've been gaming actively since 1991 and now that we've entered this new age of games...and gamers...the console gamers tend to be very immature compared to PC gamers...
It feels great, plays great, but it's one of those titles you really have to sit down with to get into, and I haven't had the time :/. It's summer time though, so now, I'm beating it, and picking up Clear Skies :D
It doesn't matter how bad this game is, you know everyone is still going to play it. How could you not play it? A game that has been in developement for 10+ years. Who doesn't just want to see whats been going on in that studio for all this time?
I was just wondering how people that are currently playing CoD4 on consoles(360 and PS3) feel about paying for the new maps, while PC users got them free. I know console gamers got them a lot sooner, but, still, PC owners got them with no payments.
