There are a lot more games to be looking forward to than Halo 3, only a fanboy would say otherwise. The PS3 and 360 both have an impressive line-up, can't wait for both.

the fight over the elite is simple. If you don't have a 360, get an elite, it is a better deal than the $500 PS3 package (I own a PS3, if you are buying one, buy the $600). If you do have a 360, keep it, there is no reason to buy an elite unless you are obssessed with having the latest and greatest and need HDMI. Although the $180 for the 120 GB hardrive is a bit spendy, I plan on getting one if I start using to much of my HD. Sony can't really use this to their advantage...I don't see how they would. Maybe this is just because I look over everything before I buy. The PS3 is a great system, but it is spendy, Sony can't cover that up.

I really wanted Star Craft: Ghost a while back. After all of the delays I just gave up on that game...but I love Starcraft so much I guess I just expected Ghost to be something amazing. Oh well, Diablo 3 is still (I'm hoping..no...noo...praying) in development. I loved Diablo 2, I need a 3rd.

Won't sell computers, it will sell hardware though. There are plenty of graphics whores now-a-days and for that, they are going to spend everything to get the best looking games. I for one have upgraded my computer so I can play Crysis, but I didn't do it for Crysis. I upgrade my computer every 4 yrs or so, so mine was looking pretty outdated struggling with some games I have. Now it runs great, and I'm set for Crysis and many more games to come. IMO though, I don't think you should buy hardware for one game only. Investing in a computer is expensive especially to get the best out of games like Crysis, so why invest in something for only one game? It's pointless in my opinion.

I'm happy Microsoft makes these accessories and not requirements. Look at Sony. The system could be a lot cheaper if they would've taken off some of the things on their system and just had them as add-ons. I have payed (yes I went over and just looked at my accessories)$50 for an extra controller with recharger (only have 2 controllers). Do you want to count the games? If not this brings my grand total to: $450. And that is no lie. I payed $600 for my PS3, but didn't pay for an accessories, would you look at what's cheaper? I am no fanboy, and even I can see that the 360 is much much cheaper.

[QUOTE="princeofshapeir"]The launch itself went quite well. A free copy of Resistance with the PS3? Wow, Sony sure learned its lesson. Now just fix the US PS3s, Sony, and you'll be fine. And to foxhound_fox, it just released, so wait for sails to boom.

Well 110,000 is still sad for a launch....They shipped a lot fo consoles, I would've expected them to be practically sold out....

"There are some gamers who want to turn this title into a battleground for next-gen hardware, presuming whoever has the superior Oblivion wins the console war. I'm sorry, but after spending many hours with both versions and some side-by-side comparisons, the conflict just isn't there. When the core content of a game is this wonderful, a few minor tweaks don't revolutionize the experience; the PS3 version loads marginally faster, chugs a little less in combat, and the outdoor draw distance is slightly improved. On the other hand, with all of the extras available for the game on 360 and PC, the PS3 release feels like it is coming out of the gate a few paces behind. All cross-platform considerations aside, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is still one the best games out there. The vast world, countless quests, and endless potential for exploration make it an adventure you need to play in any form you can."

not $460 better, but better none the less. I have Ninja Gaiden, and so I don't have really any interest in running out and getting Sigma when it comes out, I think I'm gonna wait on it. Ninja Gaiden is an amazing game, but I already have, why get another?

sounds about right. But idc how it's selling really, I have the system, I have great games for it, I also have a PS3. I'm happy with both my purchases, and could care less if other people are buying them.
