just check the ms response for best "gaming" LCD

anything below 15ms is ideal of course that's black to white not the crap grey to grey scale they use now

if you see 2ms response its definately grey to gry (this is a new industry standard used to trick consumers)

always find the black to white response time and THAT should be less than 15 for gaming

If both are hooked up to the same 1080p tv then I would say that Blu Ray holds a slight edge. However, if they are both on a 1080i tv they both look identical. Of course, this is just my experience with my Toshiba HD player and a PS3, both are using HDMI, but since Blu Ray has higher memory or whatever it would make since that it is better... Of course now, you can get HD discs for cheap!GoldenBuffalo

I'm sorry but i know this may start a format war but i'm going to be real brief.

Both have identical picture quality. Yes the BR has more space for now but it has nothing to do with space at the moment. It all depends on codec and the HD-DVD had some of the best encoding ever since it was made by microsoft the specialists in the software department.

An example of this is raw MPEG quality video, its HUGE and it looks aweful but take DIVx for example, it looks amazing and its 1/10th the size.

I have to say that BR winning was an example of market failure, where the inferior product wins instead of the best product.

Here you go my friend.

Rudy25

this is exactly what i did and it works great. Nothing like 5 seconds worth of work to save yourself 50 bucks on new cables.

I've been using a surround sound headset for my 360 forever now and I find it sooo much better than what other people use online. I've even been accused of cheating many times simply because I can pinpoint exactly where people are on the map based on footsetps.

I'd say whatever 5.1 surround headset you choose you NEED this device if you're using RCA

http://www.amazon.com/Console-Adapter-Convert-Plugs-Single/dp/B0006U3ACY

That way you don't have to buy into the whole fiberoptic cable + stereo setup to get surround sound. This device is cheap and it will turn your 360's RCA connections into computer sized 1/8 jack with next to no loss in quality. I'm away from my headset so i can'ttell you the brand but i'll post it later if i remember

Cheers

Actually I have a hilarious story too along the same lines:

I have a friend who had his house broken into and all his games and 360 was stolen along with his TV and stuff. He got this big settlement from the insurance company and all but then 5 months later he gets a call

"Hi there, this is Microsoft calling in regards to the xbox repair you requested" My friend almost died of laughter,

He explained the story to the operator and she told him all the details and he immediately called the cops! Obviously because he had registered his console and all the information was under his name still so they called him instead of the burglar.Hah!

It turns out it was someone who lived like 2 streets down from him.

So yes the RROD can do some good :D

I love RTSes on PC but haven't found a game that brings the same experience

I'll take a look at this but i'm really looking forward to EndWar since its an RTS MADE for the console, not just a port

I'm torn because I found the combat system in Eternal Sonata's Demo to be amazing but i hear the LO story is much better

Do any of them have any replay value? and which is longer?

What do you recommend?
