To escape any established expectations? To create unique characters? To have fun? Not everyone finds themselves afraid to switch accounts just because it means they can't max out irrelevant and vapid numbers like user levels and post count. I must say I find myself on the other side that wonders why others find it to be such a big, excuse my language here, damn deal.
Why lol at alts? Why not lol at alts? They bring such jolly good fun just by being at a low level and post count, especially if they are even halfway intelligent. One post and the half of OT fueled by paranoia begins their witch hunt!
