So Im a junior in highschool and I dont really hang out with people very much. Not that I just deny people to hang out all the time, its just I dont have many hangout friends. The other day I hung out with 1 good friend and 4 or so others that Im friendly with. It was fun I guess, but we just sat around eating pizza and watching tv. I have pretty bad acne and I would much rather be alone at home playing videogames while letting acne heal than 'hanging out' with people.

Im sorry but that is hilarious! lol Dude dont let acne drag you down it will go away eventually go out and hang with your freinds.

That is pretty funny, really, your going to let acne ruin your life.

Obviously you people have never had acne as bad as I have. You lucky morons probably had like 2 lil pimples on your face and thought how bad you had it. Your type disgust me.

Nothing wrong with that. Being alone is a great time for me, because I get a lot of thinking done.

any tips on avoiding friends?

Not to mention I have this other friend. We were best buds in elementary school and lately hes been wanting to hang out more (weve remained friends, its just that we didnt hang out for a while). There isnt much to talk about and its kind of awkward if no one else is there. I dont see why he likes to chill with me so much.

I used to be jelous of people who always went to hang out with others, but now not so much. Id rather be alone and sometimes I just want to turn of my cellphone and not reply to anyone.

Theres this other kid who ive become good friends with and he plays tennis. Hes always asking to hit(Hes just gotten into the tennis craze while I burned out over a year ago) and I honestly dont like playing tennis nearly as much as he does. Id rather sit inside letting acne heal than playing tennis with someone who isnt even that good.

Thoughts?

Its your life do what YOU want with it. Some parents will never let their children do what they want even into adulthood.

My mother use to think the same thing. And I mean the exact same thing, she thought there were nothing but people with no goals and uneducated too. Then she saw the dedication and hard work I put into achieving that. I wouldn't take NO for an answer. If you believe in yourself and you work hard, you can do it. Oh and about that college age thing, I don't see the problem. I had some 80 year olds and two 90 year olds in my college classes (students). And also there are a bunch of people in a different variety of ages. It really doesn't make a difference in age in college, an education is an education. Having older people in college can also be a good thing, they know they are probably older but that is not stopping them from getting an education. They know their mistakes and they are hopefully fixing it up by going to college. Good luck man, remember: The only person that you should worry about is yourself. Because only YOU can deny yourself, others might doubt you but only YOU can give into that doubt and make yourself an easy target in proving others right when they say that YOU don't have the potential to do something. Only YOU can do that; nobody else can. BTW: What branch are you considered in joining?Hemmaroids
I would want to join the marines, thats good that you kept with your gut instinct. I may have to end up doing that as well

good

Coming from an Army vet it's the best advice I can give you.

Would you reccomend it? Any advice or thoughts?

You'll find out what you like and enjoy when you're in, and you'll go to the particular MOS school (infantry being one of them) and you'll come out a rock solid, motivated marine. Advice? If it's want you want, go take it. I don't plan on spending my career here, but instead gain incredible and valuable life experiences you won't get anywhere else. Most importantly, ask your recruiter. They won't pressure you and would be happy to answer any question, no matter how dumb you may think it is. Oorah bud.

thanks, its something im really wanting to do

If that's the case, do your homework. Make sure you know what you're getting into.
