Because they can't rush it. It's gotta be good. With all on their plate right now, they cannot make and then release A GOOD sf5 within a year. These things take a little while. I know... I'm as hungry for sf5 as you, but I know if it's gonna be an good, they nenes to take their time. Don't rush delicious food. I can wait for something good. It took a while for them to release sf3 back in the 90s when they were yelling for it, but they eventually delivered the masterpiece of the series.

That is complete and total BS This generation was built on HD, and you can enjoy every game in HD. You need nothing more for several years until technology has actually improved enough to warrant a new generation. but go right on ahead and feed the monster, you corporate slave. There is no reason for a next gen anyway other than to boost the assets of Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. That is why they're doing this. They've gotten used to selling a new console every so often, that they feel like this warrants an occasion, and they are wrong. This is greed. They're selling you the same consoles you own with new bells and whistles (in Xbone's case, they're also selling you home surveillance), and SLIGHTLY MORE POLISHED GRAPHICS. Is there actually new technology out there and innovations in the way games are made? No. There is no reason for this at all other than to get you to buy a new console. This is like Apple releasing its latest pos toy you don't really need just because it has a bunch of new features. People still play SF4, and apparently they are not ready for SF5, so here we are. Be patient, and enjoy the new characters and stages.
