Spoken like a true gamer, playing quality games regardless of console, shame there aren't more of us left.TTDog

Are you seriously try to pass off your ignorant rants about Warhawk and Lair as some sort of anti-fanboy unity?

Whatever, it's hilarious to see two idiots pat themselves on the back for being stupid.

You have to be a true idiot not to see the similarities. And i like the ps3, i am just not fanboying, and protecting it, whatever the topic might be, just like i see every 360 kid doingKoba123

You have to be an idiot to suggest they are the same. Warhawk is a tight UT meets Battlefield third person action game, and Lair is very much more flight sim action based game, like other Rogue Squadrons. Not to mention, you're actually on the ground in Warhawk in other vehicles and capacities. With Lair, you are in a Dragon 24/7.

Seriously, it's like saying that every FPS is the same. FPS share some similarity, but not enough to be called "the same" and anybody who does is labeled a moron. Like yourself and the other guy arguing.

Can't even convince other Sony fans that you're right. I'm waiting for the true second phase of PS3 games, once past the "hideous port" phase and the "PS2 sequel with shiny graphics" phase we should start to see some truly awesome titles hit the shelves... and thats when I pick up my PS3... when it becomes worth it. The E3 hands on of Little Big Planet said they were looking at Q2 of 2008, this will probably herald the start of worthwhile buys.TTDog

Well, he's not right, and neither are you. So, good luck with pre-determining greatness based upon personal bias. I suppose that's what we all do, the weak ones anyway.

Well it was rejected by Microsoft on the 360. Many critics have commented that it comments unfavourably to GOW and Edge have commented on the fact that the animations are stilted and affect the flow of gameplay. Itagaki has said all there needs to be said about the QTE'sbulletmath

An early concept/design was rejected by Microsoft. Not the game currently running on the PS3 today. MOST critics are positive, and they can't really be critics unless they've played the full version, you referencing one critic on animation means nothing.

And Itagaki? The same guy who insulted Tekken, Virtua Fighter, and Devil May Cry? That might be a GOOD OMEN for Heavenly Sword.

In Lair, you have the option to leave your dragon and be a foot soldier. And everything else about this post is just wrong. Replace mechanical flyer with dragon, abd you have Lair...Koba123

Are you joking? There is no fighting on the ground in Lair at all. Walking after a cinematic to a Dragon does not count as being a foot soldier. You're also an idiot if you think it's the same.

Lair and Warhawk are the same, just as Halo and Deus Ex are the same.

And that's a shaky lineup. Lair, Heavenly Sword, and Haze are all going to be flops. You can trust me on that

Lair was pwned so much they delayed the release  Heavenly Sword is your average hack n slash that has poor gameplay. Haze looks ehh...

i mean Ratchet and UT3 are the only ones to look twice at... and UT is multiplatPoppaLemming

Another "thoughtful" post from the Xbox collective. Or is it "pensive?"

I'm basing it on the critical reception to each game and the past games in each series. That is all we have to go on. Plus of course the preliminary reviews for some fo the titlesbulletmath

Sure, why not blindly accept Mario reviews as spot on? It's not like there's any room for bias in those reviews!

Watch them without fanboy blinkers on. I downloaded a load of PS3 gameplay trailers to see if there was anything worth picking up and just played 2 Lair and 2 Warhawk after each other and it was practically the same game, yes one's MP only but looking at the trailers they played exactly the same... only worthwhile games I came accross were Little Big Planet and Echochrome, not really worth getting a PS3 for just yet.TTDog

Fanboy blinkers? How exactly do you think I reacted to the idea that Warhawk was MP only? Pretty much like everybody else. Lair and Warhawk are fundamentally different games. For one thing, it's a story based game versus a pure skill based game. For a second, Lair's mechanics are based on flying a living being, whereas Warhawk's are mechanical. Warhawk doesn't even take place in the sky all the time, you can be a foot soldier. IN lair, you don't have that option.

They aren't the same game, not for a second. You can be an idiot about it all you want, and I'm sure you will, but it takes a little more than "watching game videos" to understand how the games operate independent of each other.

Probably not.

And Socom's online community blows. Full of cheaters and hackers and the game devs have absolutely no correspondence with the players.
