Well, according to Wikipedia (See 'future developments' section) Gears of War is coming out for PC:

...In an interview with Xbox fansite Team Xbox, Mark Rein stated that the game would eventually come to the PC, but that Epic was not currently ready to release it on that format, but the upcoming release of Unreal Tournament 3 is "helping (Epic) get optimization on the PC."

Seems promising.

again that's like saying GTA is a racing game because you can't complete the game without doing at least one mission where you race to get somewhere and you're going to spend a lot of time in a car... and the closest game to it is fable... a game with a weak storysmerlus

that's why I said Oblivion can be said partially action + all other rpg elements. But, if someone wishes to make it a more or less action filled game, he can do that. So, the genre actually depends on the player in case of Oblivion.

And about Fable, you think it has a weak story? not at all! if Fable has a weak story then what will be the fate of Oblivion's story? The worst part of Oblivion was it's story & combat system, lot of us will agree with that. On that note, Fable had a fantastic combat system.

Looks like a lot of confusion is going on if Oblivion is action rpg or not. I think if you look beyond 'definition', Oblivion can be said a partial or complete acrtion rpg. That's because if someone wants complete the game in hack & slash method, he can do that & make it an action rpg. If someone wants to complete the game without a single kill, that's impossible, he must go through some (actually a lot) action element to successfully complete the game. So it's partially action rpg that way.

About Fable - TLC, I have a doubt if you'll like it if you dislike Oblivion. Having said that, Oblivion & Fable are two completely different games, and if at the end of the day gaming means 'having fun & entertain yourself', Fable sure will be successful to do that.
