[QUOTE="Captain__Tripps"]"and its have a lots of bugs" Which bugs are you speaking of specifically? Also, old games not working isn't really a "bug". THis is the case with every OS, and there will just be games that won't ever work in Vista. (like Win95/98 games that don't work in XP)1carus

Oh jeez, this is what pisses me off about Microsoft and their ignorant users. Maybe you should understand the OS before making those claims. Games that don't work on Vista is Microsoft's fault. Look, when a developer makes a game for Win95, and then Microsoft makes a new OS, it's expected that that game works on it, currently that is not true.

If a developer were to make a game on an old version of Linux, I will promise you, it WILL work on a new version of Linux, because they actually wrote their OS well. Now, you're going to tell me, "uhh, how come like, half the current games don't work on Linux then?"

The answer is this. Microsoft's monopoly is simple. Developers make games for Windows, we know that. Microsoft than slowly changes their code so these games that are designed for Windows do not work for any other system therefore forcing gamers to buy Windows.

i have Vista. Runs like a champ and i haven't experienced any bugs. personally, i love it over XPHurdledude

Well my version of XP runs pretty well too. Apart from a new security system, what the hell has Vista improved upon in six years?

Dude, you better understand what is an OS before writing your BS!

Your Claims: "Games that don't work on Vista is Microsoft's fault. Look, when a developer makes a game for Win95, and then Microsoft makes a new OS, it's expected that that game works on it, currently that is not true."

Sweet Jesus! So according to you, all games that were, are & will be released for PC must support all Windows OS (like 95) for eternity! You surely don't know anything about OS, so making you understand will be very very difficult. First learn something about OS then come back.

"If a developer were to make a game on an old version of Linux, I will promise you, it WILL work on a new version of Linux"

Linux & Windows are two completely different OS. And ironically, if some older & sophisticated software like games run both in the older & newer version of an OS, it only indicates not much have been improved in the newer version. More than 90% of all people worldwide use Windows, 3% use Linux. And frankly, Linux sucks, specially for games. There are 7,771+ games for Windows. Never heard of a game for Linux.

I'm not using Vista so far, I still use XP MCE 2005. I've used Vista RC2 & that's it. But being jealous towards them who use Vista is not a good thing. Good is good & you gotta admire it. During my RC2 use, I found lot of compatibility problems, which are NOT bugs. Beside, Vista was not officially released back then. Things are much better now.

1. Mafia

Even the thought of there will be no sequel makes me depressed.

2. Max Payne 3

Max Payne 3 is cancelled as far as I know. And they told at the credits "Max Payne's journey into the night will continue..." Well, "screaming stop signs, staring wild eyes, keep on flashing, flashing by. And we keep driving into the night, it's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye..:(

3. Fable 2

This game is being developed for Xbox360, hope they will make the PC version.

4. Beyond Good & Evil

I still prey Ubisoft will consider making a sequel.

5. Indigo Prophecy

It's been a while since I've played this totally terrific game. No news of sequel so far.

6. Call of Cthulhu - Destiny's End.

CoC - Dark Corners of Earth was one of the most frustrating games I've ever played. Other than that it was a pretty good survival horror. Too bad the developing company is no more &;; the sequel has turned into vaporware. Hope someone will release it one day.

There are many more games. Thing is, I can't remember them right now. So many games need sequel, but only a few will be created.

While this thread is as great as PC gaming in 2007, there is only one thing I'd like to suggest. There are lots of games in this thread & remembering each of them to look out in Gamespot for detailed information is almost impossible. It would have been much better if you edited the names of those games as a 'link' which connects to the Gamespot's page of that game so by clicking on the name, anyone can easily view detailed information about that game.

Like clicking on Crysis takes us to the Gamespot's PC page of Crysis.

It's my be hard work editing all those names. Nevermind, you can do it in "Reasons why it's worth to be a PC gamer in 2008" thread
