[QUOTE="Ontain"]because the Republicans are against them as well. it's not my opinion, it's been the party stance for as long as i've been alive. they blame the unions for everything that goes wrong with a company. They are against any labor laws that help the workers. seriously this is common knowledge.airshocker

When you have proof I'll believe you. Partisan talking points don't count as proof.

Unions are for minimum wages increases.Reps against.

Unions were for the Civil Rights Movement. Reps against.

Unions are for against Free Trade agreements. Reps for.

Unions were against Reagan. Reps see him as a god.

also check out the charts here.

Unions, Public and Private are heavily Democratic. Of course the Republicans want to end them.

[QUOTE="Serraph105"]we were for the last two years when they filibustered every piece of legislation that went through congress. Dems still didn't break the law to stop them. Instead they tried to negotiate.airshocker

We're not talking about senators at the federal level. We're talking about WI State Senators. But since you brought it up, no Republican senators left en masse to prevent a vote.

they didn't need to. they already had a legal way to prevent the vote.

[QUOTE="Serraph105"]

But not illegal. perhaps it should be, but until then dems weren't breaking the law while republicans were. live with it.

Serraph105

How does that make it okay? If it were Republicans pulling that stunt every single liberal on this forum would have went APE-S***.

we were for the last two years when they filibustered every piece of legislation that went through congress. Dems still didn't break the law to stop them. Instead they tried to negotiate.

there are still lots of appointments that being held up by republicans because it only takes 1 to put a hold on them thus no vote.

yeah because companies would never end pensions, ask you to put much more into health plans, or try to enact anti-union legislation for the private sector right? :roll: it's the duty of the corporations to push in that direction as far as they can. by law they are required to.

airshocker

Again, why are we talking about private sector unions? I was never talking about them.

Yeah because that's going to happen. :roll: Please.

[QUOTE="Netherscourge"]

I don't understand why Republicans are suddenly anti-worker.

Busting up Unions means businesses can lower your salaries and reduce your benefits without any representation. And none of our taxes will be lowered because of it - the money given to businesses as tax breaks.

Explain to me how this is a good thing? It devalues the american worker.

And yea, breaking up Labor Unions is an act of Socialism - I thought the Republicans were screaming about stopping Obama's "socialist agenda"?

Do Republicans have any clue what they are doing or fighting for?

airshocker

Republicans are against unreasonable public sector unions. Busting them up means states can FINALLY balance their budget. The taxpayers won't be paying for these INSANE benefits anymore. I see nothing but good things coming from busting public sector unions.

Busting up unions isn't socialism, at all. It's a return to sanity.

actually Republicans are against all unions. public sector is just what they are focusing on first because they won a lot of seats in the last election.

Good deal. The country will be a better place without collective bargaining.

I don't like either party right now. but i know i can't vote for a republican since they will be pandering the social conservatives while preaching fiscal conservatism but only really serving a corporatist agenda. similar to the democrats but without the social conservatism.

My niece(turned 5 this year) is always playing with my iPod. She is addicted to violent zombie games lol. I don't even need to sit aside her to teach her how to use it, she already understands the whole thing. Kids have the patience to learn anything.

It's an easy thing to operate, any kid could get into it quickly.

Gaming-Planet
kids have patience? not really. it's just that for them there's an instant response and reward. when they see they did something that's a reward for them. now it might not be that rewarding for adults if you're actually tried to get something specific done but for a kid just learning about it everything it does can be a reward.
