Wasnt going to post this because of a similar thread but meh, ill forget if i leave it any longer.

So the 'dirty' light that nearly all societies portray sex as due to just religion? If none of the major religions ever existed do you guys think sex would be viewed as normal as anything else?

Even the most secular nations have many of their views tied to old religious values. What do you guys think?

There is no one alive from the 1800s :|Solid_Tango

Last i heard, theres around 39 people left who were born in the 1800s

There were several civil war veterans who lived long enough to see the start of the cold war.

Wow....that link blew my mind. I even saw a photograph of a Revolutionary War veteran. I didnt even think any made it. Check the link out guys.

Everything is so.....recent. It just amazes me how so much has happened in such little time.

Being born in 1990, i have my fingers crossed ill make it to 2100s.

There are people alive in 2010 that were born in the 1800s. That alone is suprising but then i thought of something else. It means that its highly possible these people saw someone born in the 1700s. So someone alive in 2010 have seen someone from the 1700s. Coupled with the amount of history it just really shocked me as things such as Slavery, Cival War, Industrial Revolution etc. really werent that long ago. Reading it from textbooks, i always imagined them as far off events.

Now my question is, would you like to live past 100 years old? Dont relate it to just being old, im talking the big 1 00. I personally would love to. Sure id be helpless but i'd really like to stand between 2 eras.

You mentioned you studied hard, how exactly do you study, as in what is your apprach to learning information. I used to struggle at school until i figured out that my study methods were not very effective, I'D read and read but not retain information. I'm not so sure what the american system is like but the british ystem A levels( high school) are much more taxing than college/university.

musalala

Ive tried a variety of methods but the best results i get are from the one you listed.

Have you considered the possibility that you have a learning disability?

entropyecho

I brought that up with my dad around 2 years ago, he laughed it off and that was the last of it. He thought i was saying it because i had results due (which i did pretty poorly on anyway).

Thanks for the response guys. Its really good to hear that College isnt as taxing as HS but i guess that depends on the course. If i do decide to go, i would study Ancient History (history being the only subject i continuosly get Bs for, struggling though). Im definately feeling alot more positive but i think that'll change when i experience Senior HS. I felt as if i was about to snap by the end of 2nd year.

When i say success i mean a very wealthy (but not millionare wealth).

So ill be starting my senior year of HS in a few weeks and with College looming, im pretty freaked. The reason for this is because HS has taken so much out of me. I dont get great grades (Bs, Cs and Ds) but work extremely hard just to maintain that. Last year my social life was pretty much dead as i was spending so much time at home studying and compeleting assignments but no matter how hard i work, ill never get high grades.

I think i could scrap into a low College (not community) but what scares me is the level of work ill have to do. Im barely holding together now and the thought of Senior year and then another 3 more years of harder education frightens me. This summer i was just working at a store, hanging with friends and it felt amazing not having to worry about an assignment or test. Another problem are the parents. They expect me to go to College and if it wasnt them pushing me, id probably be failing HS. I just dont think i can handle College.

But i still want to be successful in life. I dont particularly have any stand out skills so its probably impossible. Id like to hear from people who havent attended College but are doing well for themselves.

Even just paying for sex.

It just doesnt make sense to me and seems silly. Theyre both practically the same thing, except one is in front of a camera. Which is arguably worse. Safety wise theyre the same. Girls at places such as the red line district are clean so theres no health objections. Theyre protected well too from violence. I think its the biggest hypocracy in most Western countries.

Is it because porn actors are officially registered or something? I doubt such thing even exists. I have a feeling its because the government would have a hard time collecting their cut.

What do you guys think?

 Haha, Theres Not One Vote For Activision!

And There Shouldn't Be......

But If I Had To Choose Out Of Those It Would Be Nintendo.......

MRBUCKMASTER

Well now Activision has 1 vote.

What?! Who Would Do Such A Thing? Who Ever Did This Must Be Punished......

Oh get over it, it was obviously you 2  wait........its 2 now...hmmmmm

Out of those i cant decide, im not too familar with their work environment. Taking a guess, id say between Sony and Nintendo.

Overall, Platinum Games.

it lost all meaning to me when people started calling halo, cod, and gears casual. Seriously I dont even know what Hardcore is I really dont. Starcraft? I guess?... Even then people were like oh no thats the most casual RTS there is so lol I just dont get it.

VendettaRed07

It all means nothing. Games are just games. You either play them hardcore or casually. In other words, its all the player.
