[QUOTE="QQabitmoar"]I love how nobody ever blames the developers, just EA. I love how some people think Bioware actually have any weight in how the game is to be developed. When your boss tells you to do something the way he wants it, you do it. You do realize management make the decisions and the developers are just the guys who get paid to do as they're told. Hence the reason they are owned by EA, not hired, owned. I would love to go upstairs to the bosses office and tell him the task he gave us wasn't happening because it might hurt my reputation in the industry. I'd get told off for something as stupid as that, maybe even sacked for halting productivity in a multi-billion dollar corporation. So, are people going to tell us 'Have good faith' and 'Wait till you see it' etc etc again? No? Good.
Ok then, let's add ULTIMA to list of IPs ruined by EA, and be done with it.

Doesn't mean the process cannot be reversed, just means its very difficult to reverse, there are lists of hashes all over the Internet which you can test against a list of hashes which have the hash and the clear text password. They probably got 450k hits out of the millions of hashes.Yea, I got the email from nvidia yesterday @ 2.31pm AEST. Spent an hour changing passwords on certain accounts not because the details were identical but close enough.

It has me curious though. They said passwords were hashed with a random salt. Salting is meant to be a one way process...
