Not really.

We've never seen so many Killer, Killer apps come out on one console like this in one year. People have been saying that 07 is one of the best years of gaming right now or somthing(there have been better) but the PS3's 08 line up of exclusives alone is better than the line up of games of 07.

The Growth means nothing to quality and the amount of killer apps on the systems.

The year Ocarina of Time and MGS4 came out >>>> 07.

We're not talking about comparing sales between years, of course money going to improve as more people get into gaming(which is every year) and of course itis going to improve when games go for 60/70 dollars now. You evengames going for upwards of 100 bucks.

Not likely. The Wii is still selling very well, and the 360 is outpacing the PS3 on a whole worldwide still. It will take more than hardcore appealing games like MGS4 and Killzone 2 to sell the PS3 to the wider audience it craves. Its price point does little to help that either.

MGS4 is one of the most popular game series' ever. MGS2 sold like 9 million units alone.

And even if MGS4 was only "hardcore" the PS3 still has games like Tekken 6 and Gran Turismo 5 which are the most dominant series' of their genres. Especially Gran Turismo, which sold like 9 million as well.

Not to mention LittlebigPlanet, which will appeal to everyone.

Yeah I dunno why people love to bash anything without a never ending campaign. 8 hours was standard last gen so I don't see what the problem is. I mean like every 360 shooter has been 6 hour games so they really have no room to talk. Plus 8-12 hours of awesome diverse gameplay is much better than stretching it to 20 hours by being repetative and bland.Lazy_Boy88

Srsly, longer games seriously can get boring especially if they don't have a strong story(one of the reasons why RPGs can last 40 hours and still be fresh). Some games feel like they just drag out just to make the game longer or no reason.

It's one of the reasons games like Ninja Gaiden was weaker than it could have been.

Metal Gear Solid 4, Tekken 6, Gran Turismo 5, LittleBigPlanet, FInal Fantays XIII, Resistance 2, God of War 3, and more coming on the PS3 just alone. We aren't even factoring in the multiplat games like DMC4, Soul Calibur 4, and GTA4 that will be better on the PS3 anyway.

THe XBOX 360 can't compete at all with that.

THe Wii is going to have a good year, but it still can't compete. It's going to release Mario Kart Wii(maybe) and SSBB.

The XBox 360 already has. That's why they are over 6 million units ahead of the PS3 in the U.S. alone. There are a lot of great games coming out for the XBox 360 next year. The PS3 has a lot of catching up to do. I don't see that happening within the next 12 months, that's for sure. No it's not a FACT, it's your opinion. :roll:

The PS3 fanbase is made up of people who who want to play games of every genre basically.
