I have a pari of Tritton ax360's. They are totally compatible with the ps3 you just get no voice chat.
I have the amplifier box of the headset plugged into the optical out of the ps3. I get my picture via hdmi. I have all of my settings right and I do get surround sound on my games.
On my amplifier box there is a digital light that lets me know when I'm getting 5.1. Games on my ps3 like Wipeout HD it works great. When I play a blu ray the light goes off and I only seem to get stereo sound. I have checked my sound settings and even looked at the settings on the disc.
What could be wrong?
I know LED is an LCD but I'm looking for a LED backlight for the high contrast and color representation. My budget is 300 bucks, 1080p native resolution and must have 1 hdmi input. Any ideas?
360 has run bigger and better games than Alan Wake, why do people continue to use this? I do agree with Killzone 2. I rented it from gamefly and returned it in 2 days. I played it for like 3 hours and the whole game turned me off. The shooting mechanics felt weak and the whole game just seemed cliche. For alan wake I'd gather that they were forced to change their original idea (so the 360 could run the game properly) so that added more dev time to finish the game.

I have not. However, If I were making a product I would not to sell an average to bad game. Publishers are also at fault because some development houses get strict time lines.OP, have YOU ever developed a game? Do you like switches?
Thought so.

Comes down to the talent of the developers. Red Dead Redemption took 6 years and it was worth it.ParasomniacAgreed but Rockstar is easily the best open world developer in the world.
They also changed the whole genre to Rpg to some kind of beatem up. They chose that directionSome could be the players expectations get to high because they know how long it's been in developement.
But with Too Human they had to switch platforms twice. From the PS1 to the GCN to the 360. They have been working it it since that but they didn't optimize it for those systems.

Too Human- Wow what a crappy game. In and out of development for close to a decade and it was a huge dissapointment.
Alan Wake- 6years of development for what? A good looking game and the gameplay is alright. 6 years of development for a game that will last you 6-8 hours. I don't get it. Was not even that good
Final Fantasy 13- Years of development for a game that was not even a true JRPG. No towns, Linear paths, and focused on action. for what?
I just don't get how a development house could spend years on a project for it to be mediocre or just good.
Just rented the PS3 version and been through a couple races on SP, and it is pretty fun so far. I like the power ups so far and there seems to be a lot of stuff to unlock and try out. I shall see if this is better than Mario Kart Wii.

The single player is okay but it gets frustrating. The game really shines online though. When you get a good group of racers together in a lobby it gets competivite and fun. I like the whole level up thing as well.
