This system is pretty cool but it must be expensive than $1568.

Thanks Kiwi_1

In case that the GeForce 8600GT and GeForce 8600GTX have specifications like same, anyway they have only different GPU Clock and other speeds.
So this means that you can run that game but in a low settings.
whats the name of the card?
and for the guys last post, are u saying i cant get a new card?
xhLtmanx
You can buy a mid-ranged card like 8600GT or if you have more money you can buy an 8800GTS.
I have a stock HP because I havent the complete knowlege in the past to build my own. Anyways Im upgrading this crapy 300watt ATX PSU and getting a 550w, you guys think an XFX 8600GT would be fine for a game like AGE OF CONAN and even crysis?
AND!!! Will it be worth it to upgrade from an XFX 8500GT to and XFX 8600GT?

Your PSU is great for 8600GT cards.
All fine but in place of that 1x250GBHDD you should buy 2x250GB HDD. ;)

Why did you put the radiator in the PC... The heat dumps back in your PC?
i have it setup where the rad blows the heat out of the bottom
In place of putting that radiator there you could use some Coolers or a Water Cooling System.
I need to buy a graphics card but I'm a newb in that area. I know a decent amount about computers but have never bought a GPU before so I in need of assistance. I have done some research but it's still quite confusing.
First off my specs:
Processor: Q6600
Ram: 3 GB
HD: 500 GB
GPU: 8400 GS (yeah i know)
Any other info I need to put?
1. Can my computer takes both ATI and NVIDIA cards? How do I know?2. I am pretty sure it doesn't matter. But does the brand name (EVGA, PNY, XFX, BFG, etc) matter if that card is compatible with my motherboard, or is it just different companies? Like if I have an EVGA board will an XFX card work? If this does matter how do I find out what board I have?
3. Related to question 1: If my computer can use both ATI and NVIDIA, why wouldn't everyone be buying ATI's HD 3850 (for example) over the price comparable 8800GTS? The 3850's core clock and memory clock are 150 and 400 higher. So I assume their are other differences. I have heard ppl say that ATI has better AA and AF and other ppl say that NVIDIA has better. What is the important stuff I need to know?
4. Do I need to but an external power supply no matter what? I just need to know cause it's another $100 minimum for my budget.
I know this was long but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You've put all your computer's specifications but you've forgot to put your MoBo details. :D
And I don't think what ATi is better for gaming. I am an ATi Radeon MobilityHD2400 user. I prefer to buy a 8600GTS or 8800GTS in place of that 3850.
