I have come to the conclusion that its the game shadow of war that's the problem. Comparing benchmarks, temps and average framerates with similar specs on games i have its all on par. Also no matter what settings i use my fps is still terrible with shadow of war., settings like motion blur and field of view when i change them it does absolutely nothing and stays the same. Tried reinstalling the game but has done nothing, so ima gonna just say fuk this game and move on.

Am i only one who thinks this looks more like a bulletstorm sequel over a Rage follow up. The fast pace, sliding, combo kills even the art style looks similar.

@PCgameruk: At 1440p and GTX 1080 Ti, switch to Intel CPUs e.g. Intel Core i7-8700K or wait for AMD Ryzen 3000 series Zen 2

https://pcpartpicker.com/products/cpu/#C=6,32&sort=price&s=13,14,61

Higher fps need lowest total system latency

His FPS should not be going down in some games with a more powerful GPU. At worst they should remain the same.

This guy has very similar specs to mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NM-eEtJxuDA

Yet hes getting a 94 average over my 46... and at 1080p which would be more of a bottleneck.

Driver or power issue? I assume you have a decent enough psu, could some of the rails not deliver enough, it draws quite a bit more than 1070. Can you stress it to 100% utilization? Try like Furmark, check the utilization and core+vram clocks

My core and memory clock speeds go to their maximum speeds with 100% usage. I already bought a new power supply because someone else suggested it.

Hello, i bought a 1080ti last week but its not performing as it should. I have tried a number of fixes since from google searches but still nowhere near to finding a solution. Basically i upgraded from a 1070 to a 1080ti and my framerate can be better slightly in some games and a lot worse in others. Games where my frame rates are better only by 15-20fps but have a worse minimum frame rate over my 1070. Shadow of war for instance my benchmark results give me a 46fps average. Videos on youtube with the same spec virtually are getting in the 80's or more.

Specs:

1440p

Ryzen 7 1700x OC @3.8ghz watercooled

16gb DDR ram OC @2933

MSI B650 gaming plus motherboard

installed on SSD

What ive tried.

Uninstalling drivers with DDU and reinstalled latest driver.

Reset CPU and Ram overclocks

Bought a new 650W Evga PSU 80+ GOLD

PC is in High Performance mode and NVIDIA control panel

My GPU usage is fine

Core temps don't go over 65c

Any ideas?

All those games are running at a higher resolution and sometimes better details. This is mostly up to the devs.

Shadow of war

RDR2

Its how well the devs are willing to push the X version, nothing to do with X hardware.
