The graphics suck in Doom 1 and 2, so I bought Quake 2 because the graphics were cool in those days. Then when Doom 3 came out I was impressed by the graphics, so I bought Doom 3 for the first time, and thought that the story and graphics was good. I also thought that the Doom The Movie was cool to.

Yeah, doom wasn't a terrible movie. Its a standard action movie. The FPS scene was definitely very cool. I loved it.

Haha, I have to agree with that. Nothing really wrong about the Doom movie and FPS scene paid homage to the game. Kinda cool

There was a lot of hate at the time for the movie, but I thought it was enjoyable. I guess it depends on the expectations. the one cool part was the FPS. That was really good stuff.

There's nothing terribly wrong with Quake 4 and DOOM3 as the quality and production values of both SP and MP are equal with Id's previous releases. It's the fact that they lack completely in any sort of innovation that's bad. kdawg88
The innovation was there in terms of technology, but it was lacking gameplay.

Quake 4 shouldn't have existed? Well, I am happy it did exist, because I thought it was a brilliant game. I can see why folks may not like it, but it is by no means a bad game.

[QUOTE="millerlight89"]Crysis is an unoptimized pos. The damn game only uses 50% of my gpu. TerrorRizzing

It isn't unoptimized dude. Works quite well on 570. Playing it on enthusiast setting at 1920x1200. Getting around 40-45FPS most of the time, and I am on a single gpu, mind you.

i think its unreasonable that a 4 year old game would do that to a 570. the game doesnt even look good at lower settings thanks to all the tech they threw in.

I suppose you are right. But you see, there is no winning for Crytek here. They put out a game that works on a lot of systems, and forums are full of hate because the game isn't making use of their latst GPUs. They gave us Crysis, which is demanding, and people complain that its unoptimized.

Look, they can't go to each and every gamer and ask them their definition of a perfect game. It just doesn't work that way.

I guess we need to keep our expectations in check.

My complaints on Crysis 2 are more about lack of quick save and so on. I am fine with the grapics in both the games.

Dude, I thought Quake 4 was fantastic. Doom 3...well, I love the game, don't get me wrong, but Quake 4 was far more amazing.

What i did was simply speculate and predict how its gonna turn out judging by their actions and there is nothing biased about that. dakan45

Oh I see. So speculations are not assumptions...that's good to know.

[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"][QUOTE="dakan45"]Honestly they got to upgrade so many things, that some gimmicky dx11 features wont change much.dakan45
What exactly is gimmicky about dx11?

Oh right, i forgot "this aint dx10, its dx11 there is gonna be a massive diffirence" RIIIIIIIGHT and the damn tech demos look cool but metro 2033 only showed tessalation by a very small margin, so i dont expect crytek to do it better let alone crysis 2 does not need tessalation. So for a few rocks poping out from the ground better....i am not gonna change my opinion on crysis 2 inferior graphics.

What's with your hate? Why not be happy they are working on it? I mean do you absolutely HAVE to hate everything in sight? Give those guys a chance man.
