Well my friends, I have made up my mind about a few things. I have made a definition seperate from some peoples definitions. I know what you're thinking... "What definition dude?" "What definition oh God of Gaming?" The anwser, my precious pawns, is the definition of a personal collection. My definition is a collection of rare, black-label games to keep in MINT condition. Although... contrary to others' ideas... there is the Question. The Question. Question.
The Almighty Question: "Should I Unwrap this game... this 200 dollar game... this brand new/sealed game... this super-rare game... this black-label game... this game that a God would kill to have...?
The Almighty Anwser: HECK YES YOU FREAKING MORONIC GOD OF GAMING!!! OPEN! PLAY! ENJOY! THAT GUILTY PLEASURE OF UNWRAPPING A RARE GAME... HOW CAN YOU RESIST!?!
Unwrap them. Trust me freinds and enimies. It's okay to unwrap them. However there is a catch. You MUST keep these games in perfect condition! You can play them all you like. Just keep them in perfect condition! A game is for YOUR pleasure. YOUR enjoyment. Be selfish. Trust me.
Here are some tips for building up your collection:
1. Never settle for what's there! Save your money... what you are looking for WILL show up. Paitence my pawns.
2. Used=YOU FREAKING MORON!!!!!
3. Greatest Hits=YOU ARE BAINSHED TO A LIFE IN THE GAMING HADIES! YOU WILL LIVE A LIFE OF MISERY, PAIN AND POVERTY!
4. Be selfish! Don't let others BREATHE ON your games. Don't let them TOUCH the games. AND FOR ME, THE GOD OF GAMING'S SAKE, NEVER LET THEM USE OR BORROW YOUR GAMES! EVER! IF YOU DO, I WILL CURSE YOU WITH A PUNISHMENT FAR WORSE THAN GAMING HADIES! HIDE THE FREAKING GAME UNDER THE FLOORBOARDS RIGHT NEXT TO THAT DEAD BODY IF YOU HAVE TO!
Here are some tips for maintaining your collection [keeping them mint]:
1. Be selfish.
2. Never leave them in your console.
3. Some consoles are dusty... and when you play the games, they collect dust. Never wash them [running them under water, using a wet paper towel, wiping them on your shirt etc.] Instead, use Dust-Off. It is air in a can that is perfect for cleaning dusty disks. you won't have to come in contact with that side of the disk.
4. Never touch the data-side of the disk. Always use the edges and center-hole to hold the disk. If you get your greasy paws on it, you'll have to say good-bye to mint condition. Cleaning a finger-print almost always leads to scratches.
5. To avoid that, wash your hands [thuroughly] before holding a disk.
6. Keep a strong grip on the disk... always.
7. If you have a younger sib... or a sister... install a lock on your bedroom door. [I did.]
Well my friends, enjoy your collection. And remember to keep it clean! By the way, right now I am after an original factory sealed Twisted Metal 2 and III. Wish me luck! And comments please! [They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!]
