I stated in my last post how I thought GTA didn't deserve a 10 and that GS may be letting hype get in the way of reviews. Now it's locked. I looked around, and almost any post like that has been locked. Whoever is doing this doesn't deserve to be a moderator if he locks any post just for a disagreement. I respect the rules and I follow them, but this doesn't go against any rule in the GS rules. I will contact GS about this if it keeps up.(Violation of First Amendment, anyone?)

Honestly, i think so. A good example is GTAIV. I have played it many times and not ONCE have I been very impressed. I know the graphics are great, but the framerate stutters often and there just isn't anything completely new about it. I only like multiplayer, really and even then, I get super bored and go back onto a two-year old game. This game just doesn't deserve to stand alongside the masterpieces with the perfect 10.0. Halo 3 is also a perfect example. I waited in line for it and not one week later, I got over the hype level and realized that not a lot has changed in those three years of waiting. I can only hope that Mercenaries 2 and Gears of War 2 deliver and make up for that. But this is why I think hype is getting in the way of some reviews.

Yeah i was if i got it going to set it on Medium graphics probably. I'm really interested in Quake Wars and the 6150 runs it pretty sloppy, so will that do well?

I'm not exactly going to get the 8600, because it costs a little too much. I just want to know if the other two will work fine.

My specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ processor 2.0ghz, though overclockable to 2.8ghz

nVidia 6150 (part of this question)

2gb RAM

Vista (no SP1 yet)

Now, I am replacing the 6150 with either an 8500GT or a 7300GS (possibly a 8600GT), a PCI slot fan, and a 120mm CPU cooler for overclocking.

Question 1: Would an 8500GT, a 7300GS, or possibly (please leave 8600 out, i know how it does.) an 8600GT work best?

Question 2: Is 2.0ghz processor going to massively affect gameplay, which leads to...

Question 3: If not, should I overclock or buy a new processor? and my budget is ~$150.
