Fighting games are very much alive. Tekken and SC4...although SC4 didn't make a huge step in the online department so that's part of the problem. It's not dying, so much as they haven't made the right game yet.

I think Guitar Hero is dying. I know plenty of people getting tired of buying New guitars/DLC songs/crap songlists in the game/same graphics/same everything.

I also think every EA sports game besides NHL08/09 is dying, for the fact that they aren't changing the game, so much as just going into hibernation for a year and re-releasing.
