To an extent I agree he is right.... The casual cheapo game market is increase at a very large rate. The iPad, iPhone, Android (Hint: Check Sony's Playstation Suite), Windows Phone 7, etc etc...will increase very greatly. This in effect can cause more developers to convert towards mobile development and could cause Console Gaming to be overshadowed by Mobile Gaming and Casual PC Gaming. Of course, consoles will always have a market but the ratio could be much smaller compared to Mobile/Casual Gaming. (This is, unless consoles turn themselves into casual cheaper boxes, Which We Are Seeing) Hardcore gamers are a niche now and will always be overshadowed by the Casuals =(ShadowDeathXHardcore gamers are smaller in number, but we are a more stable market. Casual gamers can get bored after 2-3 weeks of playing games, while hardcore gamers accept gaming as part of their daily lifestyle. For example, Demons Souls is a hardcore game with a niche audience (high difficulty, lack of checkpoints, steep learning curve and PS3 exclusive), yet it sold millions and made the developers a ton of money. If Demons Souls was a casual multplat game I don't think it would have been succesful. In my opinion, a platform needs to cater to both casual AND hardcore audience. Casual gamers are higher in number, while hardcore gamers are more willing to continue buying your products. Best idea would be cater to both ends of the market :)

Yeah, like I'm totally going to throw my PS3 and Move controllers out the window because the guys who made Angry Birds say console gaming is dying
360 #1 in USA? What a surprise.
I dont understand why the 360 sells more There... i mean... you pay for online, you pay for batteries, hasnt have any exclusive games in like 6 months i mean... why why? At least you get a good product with modern hardware. Unlike the Wii, which has 10-year old hardware (its an overclocked GameCube) and loads of shovelware, poor online, etcThey will support Kinect without sacrificing hardcore games. This is Microsoft, not Nintendo or Ubisoft. MS has billions of dollars up their sleeve, they can support both types of audiences without letting one down in exchange for the other.damnit kinect. Say goodbye to hardcore games :|

How many games this gen on consoles have taken advantage of the difference in power, and what were they? Assasins Creed and Prototype have huge environments filled with people. Some of these games have enemies and NPC with very good AI (Good AI requires lots of CPU and RAM to process the calculations). In other words, Prototype would be a completely different game if it was on Wii or PS2. No way on Earth would it be possible to process all that AI and environment data with just 88mb or RAM or 729mhz CPU, even if you downgrade the graphics.[QUOTE="Giancar"]raw power doesn't translate only in "graphics"Bigboi500
