[QUOTE="PandaBear86"][QUOTE="hellhund"] Yes, those are launch titles. No, those are not amazing.hellhund

So you only play games that are "amazing" ? They may or may not not be amazing, but as long as they are fun to play, its okay right? :|

No, I'll usually play anything 7/10 and up, but erglesmergle had called the Kinect launch titles "amazing".

I can understand that not all motion-control games will be 'amazing'. But then again not all gamepad or keyboard/mouse games are amazing either. Yet we still play not-so-amazing games that use traditional controllers. I feel the same hing will happen with motion games as well. I cant wait for PS Move.

I've yet to see an amazing launch title for the Kinect. Or any amazing titles for it at all. The Star Wars game could be fun for a little bit, but even that crappy Star Wars lightsaber toy that plugs into the tv was fun for a bit.hellhund

River Rush. Kinectimals. Dance Masters. Dodgeball. Those are just a few.

Yes, those are launch titles. No, those are not amazing.

Kinect is NOT replacing traditional controllers. Casual games will be made side-by-side traditional hardcore games, unlike what Nintendo tried to do,

I picked the last one, because it seemed the most logical.

It also made me laugh a bit.

The Wii Remote has been abbreviated to "Wiimote" by the gaming community (Nintendo doesn't actually use that word), so I think the Navigation Controller for PS Move will be abbreviated too. We are already seeing people call it various things, but what is your opinion for a good name to abbreviate it to?

Bashing on motion controls without having experienced the individual software is totally valid. Motion controls do not have the degree of precision required for any competitive play. They just aren't solid enough to support that framework of player vs. player for anything other than the most simple and rudimentary of games. Either games will need to change to accomodate motion controls, or motions controls need to die. You can't have it both ways.

THETRUEDOZAH

Funny how you claim that motion sensing is not accurate enough for competetive play. You know what else is not-so-great for competetive gameplay? Using dual analog controllers for shooters. Everybody knows that keyboard and mouse is best for shooters. Just ask any hardcore PC gamer, they will tell you that dual analog sticks are nowhere near as precise. And yes, some consoleshooters use auto-aim to help with thelower precision of gamepads.

Furthermore, Playstation Move actually has good response and accuracy. 22 millisecond latency is barly recognizable to the human reflexes

1) Microsoft is already marketing Windows Phone 7 as their mobile Xbox gaming machine. Any phone with that OS will become your mobile Xbox Live platform. You can gain achievements and communicate with your XBL friends 2) There is no way MS can compete with Nintendo in the handheld market, especially with the 3DS. They can compete with Nintendo in the console wars, but when it comes to handhelds, competing against Nintendo is like bringing a toothpick to a swordfight. MS knows better.

Its good that Nintendo is actively trying to compete for the PSPs audience with gangsta games like Saints Row. I mean, its better than just relying on Zelda or Mario.

I have noticed something about people who dislike motion sensing in gaming. Why is it that you guys are free tobash games that you have never played before (Dance Central for Kinect, Sorcery or Sports Championships for PS Move)? I have also noticed that when somebody DEFENDS motion control games such as those, you guys are like "you have never played Dance Central before, so you cannot say its good". So its okay for motion haters to bash games they haven't even touched before, but as for defenders of motion control, we have to play it for 20 hours before our opinions are valid? I dont like those double standards :(

Your thoughts? Is it okay to bash games like Dance Central even if you have never played it? Are arguments like "any game that requires you to wave your hands in the air is automatic fail" considered valid?
