So there I was, all psyched up and ready to downsize my  phone and go back to basics when I spot  this out of the corner of my eye. Tempted? You bet I am.

History. It happens every second of every day of our lives, quietly going about it's business recording every thing that we do from the mundane to the monumental. From taking out the garbage to the signing of a constitution.

History was made again today. Yesterday our solar system consisted of nine planets. Today it consists of just eight.

Farewell Pluto. You will be missed.

P.S. For those of you wondering what this has to do with gaming, I have two words for you... Patrick Moore.

I've really enjoyed this current generation of consoles more than any other. The overall level of quality has, I think, never been higher and the power of these systems has allowed publishers to create a whole new level of immersion in their games.

I have very high hopes for the next crop of games to appear on the next gen consoles over the coming months and I'm looking forward to playing as many of them as I can.
