It depends on the game. For instance, Bioshock's widescreen implementation cuts off about 20% of the top and bottom to make it "wider". TUnified

The same happens in Battlefield 2 & 2142, however I keep it at1680 x1050 and have got used to having all the large circles on the screen (map, scope etc) looking slightly oval.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/e070bf7b-6d5e-4f49-b4f7-10aa8d8b11e21033.mspx--Anna--

This is the methodI used to change my dynamic IP to a static one, you can choose the last number as you can on XP. Although I used thiswebsite, better as it hasscreenshots and a little more information.

The C2D are much better than the PDs, when I build my rig in May I brought a cheap PD 3.2 as I was waiting for July 22, I then got the E6750 2.66. My 3DMark06 score went from arround 6500 to 9000

I like features out of both of them but really they're sooo similar with small differences it just depends on if you like a poorly done Sci-fi or Modern Combat.Grantelicious

I agree, it depends if like hovering tanks and 'walkers' or just standard Abrams and Humvees.

2142 also only has 4 different people, assault and medic are rolled into one, sniper and demo are rolled into one etc, I like this as it makes your player more versatile.

2142 also has Titan mode, which is a nice break from capture the flag all the time.

[QUOTE="Aeronautical"]I believe it's a feature in Vista, where is doesn't fully shutoff to allow for faster boot times. But I'm not sure exactly, go into power management settings and poke around.cheetfreak

yea make sure you actually click Shut Down and not the Power looking button on the start menu.

Yeh its probably that. I downloaded this sidebar gadget that has shut down, restart and lock on it. Much more convenient than going through the start menu.

I know its possible on MS Flight Sim 04, it was pretty useful on landings as you could see the instruments one one screen and then have the chase view on the other.
It was a while ago but i think if you press ALT in flight then you get the menu up the top of the screen, probably under view or something, but yeh it can be done.

Ok heres one for you, been running about a month now:

Pentium D 3.2 GHz (stop-gap until July 22)

Asus P5K Deluxe WiFi

BFG 8800 GTS 640MB

2GB Corsair XMS2 @ 800 MHz

WD 7200RPM 250 GB

Corsair HX 620

Samsung DVD Burner

Samsung DVD Rom

Thermaltake Tsunami Dream

Samsung 226bw 22" Widescreen

(deleted pics to save space)

jamie_swaz192

your case is very open and clean, nice. i have the same monitor, love it

i been looking at that 22" samsung, how does it perform, thinking about getting one?

the monitor is great all round, but especially good for gaming

£240 delivered from play.com

£220 on ebuyer.com but i cant decide between this and a dell 22"?

the one on eBuyer is the 225bw, which is the silver predecessor of the 226.
There about the same performance wise, either choice should make you a happy bunny.
