Its a shame that a lot of their 'insanity' when it comes to lesser issues is at the forefront of peoples opinions on PETA when they actually do a lot of good for various animal groups, which is hardly heard about... You only hear of the 'extreme' PETA actions, rather than ones that aim at the basic level of animal rights, of which they are normally quite successful in achieving (battery hens etc)

1 - the quality of treatment in prison is highly dependant on what security level the prison is (high, low) as it is with a lot of countries around the world, low security prisons are cushier for obvious reasons...
and 2 - There are jobs in many prisons now aways, where you get paid money and you spend that money in a prison 'general store' for lack of bette terms... Buy Food, clothes, shoes... Its a good program, rather than sitting and wasting away they are working...
