Yeah I admit my big announcement had more build up than the world cup but ended up as exciting as my dad... don't even go there! Although I also missed posting a whoper of a blog and I still havn't shown why I love Pepsi so much, so ALL will be cleared up today my friends... or visitors... rivals (only have one and not on GS so meh) First I would like to say I am not a complete fool! Pepsi has done evil and dangerous things like all big multinational companies but has done muh good and today I wish to clear this up, especially I have to defend Pepsi first off.
Now many may know (On wikipedia) that Pepsi is banned in India for having 36 times the pestacide limit in there standard drink. I do belive it is now unbanned (India porbably only hate it as Pakisatn adore it) So Pepsi is 36 times the limit off charged/mineral water... hang on a minute... is it just me or is Pepsi and Mineral water two whole seperate products (yes pepsi does own water companies e.g. aquafina) Now because water has NO plant products you would expect NO pestacides, maximum allowed is 0.01% pestacide of a weak strength. Pepsi has 0.36% obviously and coke 0.3% but wait a minute, dosn't sugar have plant properties!!! Yes the fact Pepsi uses pesticides on sugar is nothing new and the amount they use is considered low by the standars of 55 grams (don't know how much oz) per 500 ml (490 gram) bottle. The facdt si the Indian government classified it wrong and have blamed it for nothing (probably yet again as Pakistan love it and they don't mix with India) Infact Milk has almost THREE times the pesticides on average than Pepsi (including ORGANIC milks!) so all in all it is fair to say this is beyond a stupid allegation which was recently dropped, unsurprisingly!
Another issue is Burma, yes that poorley run, corupt country, Pepsi had a link with a company owned by the government (famously evil and military bassed, even attacking its own monks!) Pepsi was accussed of supporting the government despite only linked with the company to avoid taxes for a redeuction in price making it further ahead of coke. Pepsi took 90% of the drinks market in Brma but pulled out in 1997 due to the public critising it, Pepsi knows it did little wrong but I'm glad they were kind enough to do what the public wanted.
Now onto why I love Pepsi and good points, first off, the enviroment. We all know this is beyond a major issue now and Pepsi is beyond an inspiration. When the list of the most eco friendly multinational comapnies was announced ofcourse first place was celebrated (intel duo inside - makes computer parts and software) but then everyones jumps to fourth possition, the Pepsi cola company, why, because for such a big brand with so much travel fuel needed and huge machines this is a remarkable achievement. Pepsi is working with Keep America Beutifull and has a MAJOR recycling skeme from paying volunteers to solar pannels to half recycled cans, to the first major brand to have recycled plastic in bottles. I think anyone can see this is a good achievement and its not just Pepsi, companies they own e.g. Walkers crisps also avoid polution where cost effective and possible.
Obviously great taste is another huge reason, now to prove this, that it really is far better than coke in every way I can clearly describe both tastes (I have had coke before, three years ago max, 2.5 least I drank it once weekly) Pepsi on its first taste (normal sugar full one) tastes discusting, the after taste is something no other cola has and first its to over powering. This is known as taste, Pepsi is the only cola I've had that dosn't taste watery and tastes like a proper drink, not a pansies drink! this taste gets better with every bottle/can of Pepsi as you realise over time this is what makes Pepsi Pepsi. Coke on the other hand is sweet but not sweet enough after a few years with Pepsi and has a weakness, not enough full flavour leaves it quite watery and very weak in taste. pepsi is sweeter, fuller and flavour and tastes of syrip but to a lesser extend in other words >AWESOME!!! (> means more than if you didn't know and < less than) Coke is weak, flavouless and is not syripy, in fact no cola but Pepsi I've had is syripy there all prune like... to a weak extent (If you havn't had prunes there quite nice) but coke is far weaker than prunes like most colas. Pepsi I do not consider cola as it is different than all other colas in taste, after drinking a fairish bit of many brands, I consider Pepsi a Pepsi... not a cola a Pepsi!
Pepsi also has many great other flavours and products, Pepsi diet Jazz Caramel Cream, Mountain Dew Code Red, Kas Lemon, Doritos tangy cheese and many many more. Pepsi also has originality on its side, it invented more cola flavours than coke the main one being diet, that was Pepsi.
Ok thats all my Pepsi for now out the way but more is to come later and I will copy and paste this on and add to it hear and there (Probablly yearly) but I hope I shed light on many aspects of my addiction to great taste... and Pepsi ofcourse as its dosn't just define great taste it exceeds it. This should also expalin why I detest those who tell me coke isn't that bad, it is STILL involved in an illegal slave trade and child labour, Pepsi isn't thats good enough for me to switch but much more adds to my switch. I also understand this is a HUGE bulk of reading and that only Denny Carmassi and Raahsnavj will have attemped to read all of this but Raahsnavj may not have as I admited to him I never could read all his... except his reviews as there blooming great! Also Denny may or may not be bothered, he has fasses.
