The amount of particles, volumetric smoke and HDR in the fire are insane for such a frequently used effect. It's not a canned animation like in BF4, it has HDR in the flame unlike in Crysis 3. It's perfect just like it's Killzone.
KZ SF will not have an always true 40,000 polygon characters. The way they are going to allow 40k npc models is when there is only one npc within the distance of 0-2, the more npc's on screen within a certain distance the LOD quality count lowers

You're implying Crysis 3 doesn't use LOD scaling either. SFs character models have more detail and polygons than Crysis 3s, at all LODs
Let's bring a does of reality into this thread. KZ:SF has surpassed Crysis 1, BC2, and possibly Crysis 2 and BF3. But not MLL and definitely not Crysis 3. With that said, Crysis 1 wins on the realism factor. Crysis 3 beats every game to date on realism as well as overall. But after the terrible shots I saw of Crysis 1, I think it needs a little redemption. Crysis 1 can look amazing and almost real at times.Â
