I'd say it is considering the price atm and getting the finished game when it comes out. The alpha is fun to mess around with, game looks and plays great.
I didn't really like it. The world was big but felt confined like an ants nest (tunnels and chambers) and the quests and locations felt too artificial to give me any sense of real adventure. I wasn't a fan of the art style either.
I used to love cheats. You could explore things you never could before or just have fun. GTA, Age of Empires, some games I loved cheating with and it increased the game lifespan 3-6 times for me. Metal Gear Solid with a trainer was incredible because you could explore area's that deviated from the storyline and mess everything up. I miss cheats.
Attention to detail and atmosphere do it for me. For example the first MGS I can still be amazed at how awesome it looks. But a game like KOTOR, from what I remember has a lot of emptier spaces that start to look dull when you are not impressed with the best looking parts of the game anymore.
