I am going to be using a

CoolIT Systems Freezone Elite TEC CPU Cooler with MTEC

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_202&products_id=23095

for cooling and was wondering how high i could OC my CPU if I get a

Q9550 or a Q9450, or something like that for around $500, and is the Q9550 worth the extra cash.

Also i might just use regular watercooling depending on the space in my case.(external is not an option b/c I am modding a big old speaker from the 80's that finaly quit on me(can anyone say hand me down) and i don't want it to be obvious that there is a computer inside,) i will post pics when finished:P

Now I have most the parts picked out i just need a CPU cooler and GPU card, but space will be limited. For the Cooler the max height is 75mm and it must fit a LGA 775 socket, and am looking for a GPU that will run cool. I am going with a single card, and it does not need to be that graphic intensive. I play WOW, CSS, AOEII, but i want to be able to play other games at good framrates but it doesn't have to be a high settings etc. and I love to watch movies, when i get the money I plan to put a blu-ray player in this comp.

So summize

NEED

GPU & CPU FAN/Heatsink

EDIT: I also found this on the web for the GPU

SG01-F is capable of fitting 12 long graphics cards

Graphic card length reference:
ATI Radeon HD 2900XTX 1GB GDDR4 (OEM version) - 12
Leadtek Quadro FX 5600 1.5GB GDDR3 - 12
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra/GTX - 10.5

ATI Radeon HD 2900XT - 9.5
NVIDIA GeForce 8800GS/GT/GTS - 9
ATI Radeon HD 3870/3850 - 9

If an expansion card is longer than 9.6" and it needs to be installed in the first slot, please refer to the manual for installation instructions.

i would recomend the Q6600 because if you ever want to backup your music(from CD's),or DVD's, ripping them and compressing, and stuff of that nature will be much faster, but that is the same with any quad core

I want to build a pc for 500USD does not have to game hard just AOEII and WOW.

however I want to turn this baby into a server/htpc in the next couple of years so please keep that in mind.

i will be building my self and i could increase the budget if really needed.

Also dual core is nessary(or quad cuz it will eventualy be playing movies and acting as a server) and i already have a HDD with an OS on it.

And PSU needs to be 80%+

thx comunity :)'

first to defend my point above, to a person who does not know alot about computers having a warranty/tech support is priceless(or an additional $39.99 lol) and with prices so low it is easy to justify the an extra 40 bucks for a 500 dollar computer that is meant for buisness and surfing the web.

second we as a comunity digress

good luck with ur build comeback when you see the specs
