This guy takes notes from Nick Wylde, by answering a question with another question, then answering that second question he himself asked.
Reporter: "Would you make a Mass Effect Remastered version or is one in the works?" Exec: "Would we make a lot of money on a remastered mass effect?... yes, yes we would."
@wayneextremity: Considering the PS4 isn't even 2 teraflops on it's own, Neo being 2 TF more than PS4 means 100% more power. It actually is a good upgrade over the original PS4. Scorpio will be even more powerful and compared to the X1, it will be a far more noticeable jump in processing power.
Basically just make it an Xbox One S with more power, even though we all know Scorpio will still overshadow Neo.
What's worse for Sony is they have to set the sale price to something reasonable, because MS is launching Scorpio a year later, so they could make it slightly more expensive than Neo or match the price and destroy Neo if Sony prices it too high.
Old stuff is forwards compatible, new stuff does not have to be backwards compatible. That makes sense, since it inspires people to upgrade without being forced to ditch all the accessories and games they have currently. Side effect is that some games would see improvements graphically if the devs have the code scaled well. Seeing as they share these with PC, I suspect that capability will be mandatory going forward just like PC games have had forever.
@Berserk8989: To be honest, they promised 'forward' compatibility, but they never said the new console can't have content that is only on Scorpio and not backwards compatible with X1 and X1S (to my knowledge). So devs can utilize the full potential of it. The key is now they need to make games scale, like the good old PC games that scale from crap hardware to the latest.
