It's weird to me too. They have every opportunity in the world to make it an amazing console experience, but seem to forget what it's main focus is... games. It's more like a phone, MS makes the hardware and leaves all the software up to everyone else, and then Nintendo comes in with weak ass hardware and mops the floor with them making an even larger profit almost exclusively with 1st party titles.

You can always tell the age of a poster on GS by the fact that they change the name of the console/game to some stupid explicit or different word for 'bad' thinking they're so cool and original.

MS will continue. Google or Apple could join the fight if they wanted to. With MS fighting for new 1st party titles, it's still going to be a ways off until those are even announced or make it to market. I wouldn't count them out yet, also they still offer the best console hardware on the market today, which IS something for the gamers.

Depending on how this list was 'mined' I'm going to assume that most of those are true and in the pipe to happen over the next few years perhaps, but some of them could easily be cancelled at some point. Looks like a pretty good list. Would be amazing if this was just for the next year/two. Being such a huge list though, it's basically one giant guess. When they announce the Metroid title, if it matches, i'll be a full believer then.

It looks really good actually, don`t be fooled by it`s cartoon-y style, it uses new unreal engine features.

It would be nice of Sony to actually show gameplay in their trailers instead of just selling the game based off of rendered movie clips... but whatever.

Once smash comes out, expect another resurgence of switch.

I can take a guess:

The switch runs on the same chipset as the Nvidia Shield. In China, the Nvidia Shield is getting a Nintendo made GameCube/Wii emulator that will officially play GameCube games. They have also created software that can fully render any GameCube game in HD with almost no changes to the source code (which they utilized in the Wind Waker HD version for WiiU). They can then make a cube game into HD and remaster it from there with less effort.

I wouldn't be surprised if that emulator ends up on the Switch at some point so they can play the original Luigi's Mansion game itself instead of porting it to the Switch directly.

Disagree OP. I never undock my console, and play AAA games on it just fine. Considering this is just the start of year 2 for that console, the lack of a game drought is amazeballs. I'm ok with them having a bit of a drought at some point, and filling it with lesser graphically pleasing handheld styles games for a while.
