Breath of the Wild is my favourite game of all time

Having said that, Tears of the Kingdom is pretty fun, but I have to say it really isn't living up to its predecessor. I've nearly completed the first two dungeons and so far the Divine beasts are far more enjoyable.

I also feel like the progression of Breath of the Wild was more engaging and rewarding and I was more invested in the story.

I still have a ways to go though so I'll see where the game takes me.

@ConanTheStoner: Yeah I pulled a Brian F. I didn't intend to play Oro when he landed, but then I saw Brian do some things that interested me. Then I fell in love. There's so much depth and expression possible with the character. There's always something to optimise further

You should have pulled a Broski :D

I'll probably give Lily a try first. I'm generally completely against grapplers, but she seems more focused on mid range neutral. Also grapplers don't appear to be vortexy this time which I really like.

This game is looking good. I'll probably not spend any time outside of training mode, ranked and local vs, but that'll net me 1000s of hours easily.

I'm really going to miss Oro though. I feel like I might have a character crisis with SF6 for a bit

I just saw this movie today

I'm a big Nintendo/Mario fan, but this movie made me feel almost nothing. It's pretty bad. I didn't expect much yet it went below my expectations.

Yeah find very little enjoyment from most Sonic games. Sonic Rush was one of the few that really resonated with me. The mechanics felt better tailored for time trials.

Mario Odyssey was a big let down. I enjoyed 3D World and New Super Mario Bros. U much more

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword is incredible and the motion controls are fantastic. Using the gamepad controls in the HD version is insane to me

Uncharted 2 is actually a very badly designed game

Easier to connect and interact with friends

Don't have to pay extra for online

Best version of most games

After I got a high end PC over the pandemic, I bagged up my PS4 and only use it as a set up at local Fighting game gatherings/tournaments. I also feel no need to upgrade to PS5 until I'm going to have to bring a console to play SF6 at locals

Like many have mentioned before, The Zelda games are really good for this.

I'd also like to add

Portal

Batman Arkham games (particularly City and Knight for riddler trophy puzzles)

Metroid Dread has some real head scratchers if you want to get 100% of the items. You really have to experiment with the mechanics to learn new ways to traverse. It's a combination of puzzles and execution that's really satisfying.

I feel like it's been a long while for me and I don't get as many games as I used to. The last two I can think of at the moment are The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild which absolutely decimated my expectations and Celeste.

Honestly, Breath of the Wild made many games I played after it lackluster. Horizon Zero Dawn fell flat, Ghost of Tsushima started off strong, but petered out (and I normally eat up Sucker punch's games and I always wanted an open world samurai game), and Elden Ring couldn't keep my interest. BOTW just pushed the open world format so far forward that everyone else is still playing catch up.
