@hulk9177: I actually started playing this right after beating Elden Ring months ago, back in May/June I think it was. Reasoning was that I had played some/all of the previous From titles before.
Then I got turned off by a few things. No "experience" to level in a traditional way weirded me out. I welcomed the lack of invaders, but would have liked some co-op capabilities. Decided I wanted to go back farther in the catalogue.
So I called an audible and picked up the Dark Souls Trilogy and started back in with that massive, glorious time sink instead.
@jjmy137900: It is! I can confirm this very fact. Across multiple systems, even.
I mean, you could play them all on PS5/4, but I liked the Xbox One remastered Dark Souls Trilogy combo pack found on Amazon for.. checking.. $38.70. Can't be beat.
Demon's Souls is a steal right now at 29.99, but I upgraded my PSN account to play it for "free" and be able to do multiplayer with aforementioned friend.
Inspired me to play back through every single From Software title (Demon's Souls onward), and I even talked a friend into joining in on the journey after I beat Dark Souls the first time.
An actual, defined multiplayer colosseum?? But how can the children with mommy and daddy issues have fun in a situation where they are going toe to toe with people who are actually ready for a fight and interested in pvp, as opposed to jumping in unexpectedly to mess up someone who is actually moving a quest along through a dangerous place?
I've played every single FromSoftware title, and I have hated the invasion aspect of every single one of them.
@lanmanna: I believe the current Internet is, more than ever, all about absolute hyperbole.
Something is absolutely a certain way, 100% of The Rest of Us agree, and you won't believe what happens next! But you have definitely been doing what happens next wrong!
1) Sunshine was a great game. Metacritic says 92 over 61 critical reviews. I'd call that better than disappointing.
b. It says push. I pushed it. Everyone I knew pushed it. It worked. This "article" reminds me of the fact that 21% of Americans are illiterate. Then this article makes sense.
(iii) Not all readers were kids when the GameCube was released.
So many mistakes or assumptions in this article! Makes me realize illiterate kids hated that the GameCube, and the Super Mario Sunshine game within, were so complicated.
I "lucked out" and got one a month ago after waiting months and months on Sony's wait list for them to email me about availability. Being "invited" to buy a $500 bit of electronics is a bit crazy, but here we are, two years after launch, begging to do so.
I didn't really feel like I HAD to buy one, but Horizon does look incredible.
