I'm taking a break from complaining about morons, bad parents, and celebrities, to give you a little insight as to what I want to see on the next generation consoles, be it Xbox 360, PS3, or Nintendo's next failure of a system:
1. The ability to capture in game video from any game, and the ability to upload this video for others to see. This would usher in a whole new era of people speeding through games to show annonymous people on the internet how fast they can blow through a game. Also, it would give millions of amatuer game review sites easy access to video gameplay clips and such.
2. Fully customizable games. If it's an FPS, than the player should be able to change anything about the game. If he wants to start out with 90 lives, fine, go for it. This might be tough from a bug testing point of view, and developers will use the excuse that the difficulty of their games would be ruined, but the real hardcore gamers who want to play the game the way the developers meant for it would not abuse this feature. I want the ability to customize EVERYTHING in a sports game, not just my own team.
3. MMOSG, as in, Massively Multiplayer Online Sports Games. I want to see a baseball game where one player controls one player, so that 25 different guys can field a team of 25 players. How cool would it be to say something like "Man, I want Vanilla_Gorilla on my team, he's the best first baseman in the world".
I don't know if these things are confirmed for one of the new consoles, since I'm holding out on reading any info about them until they are closer to launch, but I think some of these concepts would really add to the gaming experience.
