I was a huge fan of the RE series. I loved RE4 when it came out, even though it was a departure from what the series originally was. I'll be honest, I didn't play that much of RE5. But I didn't like having an AI partner, and managing 2 inventories. The actual gameplay itself was ok. But that game (as much as I played at least) didn't have the same type of atmosphere as the last games. RE4 was at least still dark, and it felt kinda "moody" if that's the right word. RE5 didn't have that, as far as I could tell. Now that it's cheap, I've been thinking about picking up RE5 and giving it a fair shot again. I was gonna pick up RE6 yesterday, but after seeing the poor reviews I decided to hold off. But my question is, really, as far as gameplay/atmosphere, is 6 more comparable to 4 or 5?
My TV has I think 3 hdmi slots. I have my ps3 and 360 in there right now, so I think I might have an extra one just hanging out. Yeah, I need to know what wires and stuff I'll need because I've never bought any kind of sound system for anything, ever. And as far as 5.1 vs 7.1, I have no idea what the difference is. All I want is something that will sound good playing blu-rays on my ps3, and playing video games. I don't want best of the best, I want a really clear and full sound, I don't need huge amounts of bass to make my house rumble, just enough so that explosions have a nice definition, but overall clarity is most important. My parents have something set up, and explosions and stuff sound pretty nice, but sometimes it hard to hear what people are saying. I don't want that at all, I want to always be able to hear the dialog in movies and games and whatever. For budget. Ideally, something in the 200-250 dollar range would be nice. But, I'm willing to go as high as maybe like 500 if it'll make a world of difference.
I bought a new TV this last summer, and now I want great sound to go along with it. But I have no idea how to go about doing it. Basically, I have a PS3, 360, and a Wii. I want them all to be hooked up to surround sound at all times, what is it I need to buy and what would be at least decent quality with a good price to buy whatever it is I need?
I basically just want one for browsing the internet, but I also want to be able to play some older games. Namely Starcraft And Diablo 1 and 2. The most graphically demanding game I could see myself trying to play, is World of Warcraft. But mostly games like Starcraft, Warhammer 40k and stuff like that is what I'm looking to play. Something small would be cool, and something inexpensive. I don't want it at all for playing new games. Just older ones. Could netbooks be an option? Help me out.
I'm saving up cash to buy a new TV, at least 40 inch, but probably no bigger than 46. And I'm looking at all these TVs and the ones with 120hz refresh rates are a whole lot more expensive. But I wanna know if it really makes a huge difference in gaming. I've read/heard that it prevents things like ghosting and motion blur. But I wanna know if a 1080p 60hz TV will work just as well for gaming (or close) as a 120hz TV would. I'm not planning on watching sports, or much TV in general, but i AM planning on playing a ton of games on my PS3 and 360 and probably take advantage of my PS3 blu ray capability as well. All this TV stuff is confusing me to no end.
They need to put FFVII on the PSN store, or DS or PSP or something so I can buy it and play it again. My orginal copy is jacked up, and I can't even play the beginning of the game. PSN story preferably though. And I wouldn't mind a remake, either.
Well, what I'm looking at now is getting something like this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8742186&type=product&id=1202648738906 Or if I did decide to go with something bigger: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9230691&type=product&id=1218063829730 Would something like that look good, and not really have problems like ghosting? Those are definitely the ideal prices haha.
I'm looking to get a new TV to replace my SD TV that is really starting to suck for the newer games. In-game subtitles are impossible to read on games like GTA4 and Street Fighter 4. the TV itself makes dark alley ways in GTA4 pitch black and I can't see a thing. So I think it's time to replace thing thing with a nice HDTV. My price range for everything is about 800-1000 dollars. But, if I get a TV any bigger then a 32 inch, I'll need to buy a new TV stand to replace my entertainment center as well. Which will need to be included in that 800-1000 spending money. If the TV is just awesome, I'm willing to spend a couple hundred more. But no more then like $1300. Since I do own a PS3, I would like the option of watching blu-ray disks and having them look great. Mainly, this is just for gaming and I'm not sure what I should go with. I know 120hz is the way to go, but I can't find anything like that that's within my price range. I dunno whether to go with 720 or 1080p, I'm lost on a lot of things. I think it's a great idea, and could be a very good thing for gaming. I'm definitely interested in seeing how this plays out, and I've already signed up for the beta. Who knows what it'll do to consoles, namely the PS3 and 360. The Wii is sort of it's own thing, and I can see Nintendo still making consoles, even with OnLive. Although the 3rd party support could go way down. It's all very up in the air. If Onlive does well, I can imagine Microsoft and Sony, and possibly Nintendo if it DOES hurt their market sorta partnering with this system. But at this point, I'd say it's impossible to see where this will go. I see the potential though, and I hope it succeeds.
