[QUOTE="PrincesTwilight"] Don't just blame it bacause you're parents are from India, it depends on the Parent themselves of how they want to raise their Child, for one thing you're lucky for so far, at least your parents actually care about you in some way.

The thing I hate about them is that don't let me voice my opinion, let alone let me live my life the way I want to. Sure, they may care about me, but don't your parents let you live your life? I'm a teenager right now. My friends have asked me countless times to come hang out with them, so I'd go home and ask my parents if I can go, but they would always tell me no. Why? I never get a relevant answer. They'll use some lame excuse, like someone is visiting, or that we'll be busy that day or something.
Do your parents give you freedom to do what you want? Sure, I don't mean that your parents don't even look after you or anything, but as a teenager (or when you were), do they let you go out with your friends, do they intrude in your life, do they let you voice your opinion? In my case, no, I don't get to go out with friends, yes they intrude in my life, and no they don't let me voice my opinion.
My parents don't let me voice my opinion unless I throw the biggest tantrum ever and force them to listen to me, it's the only way. I only go out when I convince (sometimes beg -_-) them to let me go out or that everything will be safe and the reasons for why I'm going. They still intrude my life and I still have no privacy BUT I still do understand you clearly because I've been throught the same situations and trust me, you're not the only one out there and I kinda know worse. Also now that I've matured my parents have seemed to give me some freedom, but maybe you should force them to listen to you, it makes them really know how you're feeling inside, in other words a better way for them to find parenting instead of making it seem so mailgn in some ways.
