@H4num4n @Printul_Noptii @PlatinumPaladin On its own merits MGR is decent I would say I can clearly appreciate it for what it is but I will always compare it to old MGS games as well and that is funny because I remember during MGS2 at the end where Raiden finally gets his sword I was so psyched to finally cut some soldiers into pieces (you only have the sword during the last part of the game for a short time and during the final battle I think) :D but when I played the MGR demo I was like "meh whatever" :/
@evil-zodiark DmC was alright in my books, it was still Devil May Cry aside from the radical new artstyle which fit the tone of the game perfectly by the way but just imagine if they would make a spin off of Devil May Cry where Dante has to infiltrate military bases and sneak around in a cardbox that would be awkward XD nah fun aside point is DmC stuck to the DMC formula wheras MGSR went a completely different gameplay route
@PlatinumPaladin @Printul_Noptii well I played the Xbox demo of MGSR and to be honest its not my cup of tea even thou I appreciate the great effort PG put into it and they somehow managed to make it play awesome similar to their previous work Vanquish and Bayonetta but... people who are used to the oldschool MGS will probably hate it, its not that its a bad game its just that the gameplay is so different. The problem is MGS was always about complicated conspiracy plots and emotional choices players had to make aside from the military stuff and stealth but MGSR is fast paced hack and slash in your face very similar to Ninja Gaiden and God of War its just that and I think thats what oldschool MGS fans hate :/
@Coren_Larken at the end of the day it all boils down on how much you like the game or not and yes its true, oldschool hardcore gamers already know about the useless DLC, season passes and microtransactions its just so sad that the new generation of gamers just adapt to the milking of the big corporations who clearly water down games and dont care about quality, look for example at Aliens colonial marines, what a disgrace
lol IMHO they already fvcked up Dead Space 3 with all its microtransaction BS people didnt buy it because they love and embrace microtransactions they got it because they like Dead Space as a franchise but way to ruin stuff EA :( and I thought Capcom was greedy lol
I dont see the point of any season pass :/ by the time all the DLC comes out you are already bored of the game and only if you are a die hard MP gears player you might get interested in it. The only season pass I have got was the BF3 Premium but BF3 is heavily MP based and some of their DLC was amazing but this seems just as stupid as the Bioshock Infinte pass.
as hated as CoD may be it has fun gameplay and reasonable good AI even for an old engine and thats where timegate studios failed, the multiplayer in Aliens CM is okay but the singleplayer was butchered to death.
@CivilizedPsycho they dont bother me as much but in RE6 they were so frecvent it was almost annoying and I remember even Halo 4 had some QTEs which distracted a lil bit.
