It really his a completely horrible port, and you can tell that they put no effort into it as nobody in their right minds would port a game to PC and not have mouse-support. I've tried it, but it was so far beneath true PC games that it hasn't been touched since my original 15 min attempt. Perhaps it plays alright on a console....
I wish I had something constructive to add, but I've never been able to get Dosbox to function properly all the time. I've found that the best way to play my really old games was to resurrect my old 386 and run them natively. I did the same with an old P2 box of mine....
Just check the Dosbox forums, and hopefully you'll find something that helps.
I'm glad to hear all of the positive results so far. I have Gothic 3 sitting in the box at home, but I'm waiting until I have more free time available before I install it. I absolutely loved Gothic 2 and the Night of the Raven add-on. I hope Gothic 3 plays just as well!
