I find it amusing how they have no issues with radically changing the looks of the turtles in radical new ways (I still prefer the original incarnation) but will absolutely never bend on the color or look of the bandana's.
It is forced marketing to the extreme. Nothing bad with that, just an observation. I personally would advise them to go with something more unique in apparel as those are only the ninja turtles in name.
I am not really that impressed, I mean it is cool... but with how stagnant gaming has been for the past years now I sort of expected this 3 years ago. I also don't get too excited by Tech demos.
Also... graphics have never really been a huge issue. Uncreative development have been.
I am seriously contemplating buying a PS3 for this, but I barely play my 360 (Mainly a PC gamer) Oh why do this console companies tease me by releasing a handful of quality games?
I can see how Xbox Live Gold would be worth it for someone who has their primary system as the Xbox. Myself however am primarily a PC gamer, but I also can appreciate some of the things consoles have to offer. However I could no longer justify paying for an Xbox live gold account considering how little time I put into my Xbox compared to the countless hours I put into my PC gaming. The thing also is that the lack of gold just steals way too many features I enjoyed on my Xbox on a casual basis.
My Xbox 360 now collects dust. It isn't the only issue it is also the issue of the current console generation lasting far too long. Nothing on consoles peaks my interest or is exactly a new concept. Unfortunate. Since I do plan on playing consoles casually in the future I may actually opt in for a PS4 as long as they keep the free model or at the very least don't absolutely gut peoples options and choices who choose not to get a premium style membership.
I understand the gaming industry likes gouging people to the extreme. I think the unfortunate truth is that people are starting to get fatigue from this sort of things. premium memberships, DLC passes, DLC in general, over priced and underwhelming/short games. After awhile you just say screw it altogether.
Lately I just stick to my PC and pick up the 5-20 dollar steam deals on games that are only a handful of months old. I am tired of paying out the nose for basic features, or at least features that were basic to me in the 90's and early/mid 2000's.
Switzerland has mandatory gun laws (i.e. they have to own a firearm) for males in their country. Their gun crime rate is so low that records aren't even kept.
As far as the states go. Spree shootings are clearly a problem. However it is much more cultural. You simply don't ban peoples fundamental constitutional rights because a very very small percentage of Americans were shot and killed by a psychopath. No matter how atrocious the crime is you never pass laws based on emotions.
The rest of the gun crime is largely minority based and again something you need to address in another matter.. Banning weapons from law abiding surbanites and rural people (i.e. white people if you want to be true about it) will do absolutely nothing about minority based crime in places like Chicago (which btw has the strictest gun laws in the country and yet some if not THE highest gun violence in America)
The Democrats force the NRA to care about a lot of things. As soon as gun violence breaks out they pretty much call them every name in the book. Sure the NRA makes some pretty boneheaded comments, but they are essentially a lobbying group that in their mind is trying to ensure the 2nd amendment.
Let's not try to pretend that politicians (mostly Democrats) aren't trying to bait the NRA for their own personal political gain.
I sort of get what the NRA is saying sometimes, I mean horrible parents do plant their kids in front of the TV and Video Game babysitter, and as most of us here are adults we get sort of up in arms about the video game violence deal because well we are adults and violent video games don't mean a lot to us from a development stand point, but really they should be focusing on bad parenting and all forms of media targeting children, not just video games.
It's not guns that are doing it either. Guns have been around in this country for ages and gun related crimes have consistently went down since the 80's (by half) and there are actually MORE guns in this country.
Deal with our corroding culture and irresponsible parenting. Not the media that a good parent should have mostly full control over. Make your kids go outside, teach them right and wrong and listen to them. Don't let someone or something else to do the job for you.
