Look how excited these non gaming women get at the sight of a Wii, it's their console, not ours.

Get over yourself and learn how to share

Your hobby is not exclusive, it's a rather easy thing that anyone can do.

Have a nice day

Speak for yourself.

I buy games that are specialized towards my likings. Games that are developed with 1 audience in mind. It depends on the genre you like to play, but there are plenty of specialized games.

A game like World of Warcraft is being designed for different demographics due to its popularity.

You obviously don't mind sharing your hobby. But I do, friend, and so do many others.

I don't see those soccer mom's building themselves a high-end perfomance computer so they can play the latest games like Age of Conan, Alan Wake, S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky etc.

Your hobby is restricted due to it being aimed towards a bigger set of demographics.

So WHAT? Your logic fails so hard. Do these casual games for non-gamers affect the hardcore games? Are we seeing Halo Fit where Master Chief tells you what to do for excercise LOL? No. In other words, you don't like other people especially non-gamers to enjoy gaming or have fun from video games. I take it you're an elitist then. Video games should have more variety. It should be for all people. Games are meant to entertain.

Once again, speak for yourself.

There are different forms of entertainement. For me, the only thing that can give me satisfaction these days, is competitive gameplay.

I've been gaming since the 80's. And because of this my standards are raised much higher then the average non-gamer. I have different expectations.

Yes casuals do affect the industry. Take Bethesda for example with their Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. these days, its the only way to make profit. Blizzard doesn't give a damn that screw up their Warcraft lore by adding Death Knight gnomes into their next upcoming expansion.

Just like Epic movie and Meet the Spartan encourage the industry to take the most cheap and profiting way. Why? Because their audience is either too stupid or uninformed to realise it anyways.

This game is by far the most detailed MMO I have ever played.

This is truly the definition of a good RPG. If you don't like the slightly realistic and mature setting, I would not recommend the game. Otherwise, buy it.

W.A.R is going is probably going to be a great game also, but I myself am sick of the fantasy setting we've been in for so long.

I've had a good time with World of Warcraft, but its time for me to move on to soemthing new.

Haven't had this much fun since Diablo II. And I played a choppy beta version, can't wait for this friday to play final game.

In this case its not the rating, but the heavy system requirements that will discourage them.

And besides, maturity is not always determined by age anyways. As much as I would like a mature MMO community. I think its for the better if as much as different audiences get attracted by the game. The bigger the userbase, the bigger the support for the game. Wich is a good think also.

So far I absolutely love Age of Conan. I haven't had this much fun since Diablo II.

It has a depressive atmosphere. I like it though.

Its the exact opposite of the happy Mario Galaxy Universe.

what are you talking about, Nintendo is only for Cool and Hip people, just look at their adds.

see any cellulite? no, so how is that their target audience?

MancsFTW

Their target audience is not determined by a bunch of fake commercials. No wonder sheep have the reputation of being sheeple.

I thought HL2: Episode 1, 2 and 3 were Half-Life 3 ? I could've sworn I heard somebody from Valve say that.NWA_31

No I could've sworn they didn't.

They are allready working on Half-Life 3 with a small team. Gabe Newell had confirmed this before. Episode 3 will be the last of Half-Life 2. Then they will put all focus on Half-Life 3.

The game will be probably shown in 2012 E3. If the world doesn't end by then that is.
