The "failure" here is ENTIRELY on the heads of all the biz-dev idiots who WAAAY over-funded this venture in the first place. That's an utterly unsustainable business plan, and most FOB college grads could have figured that out with a simple spreadsheet. It utterly sucks that the creatives and programmers have to pay for the biz-dev idiots' mistakes.

A turn-based mode (even if it was like VATS or something) would be nice, but I'll give it a fair chance regardless... Firaxis is at the helm.

That's the name of the game these days -- stop them in shipping. (See HTC EVO news this week; result of suit from Apple... just one example.)

@SeptuagintXXX -- I recommend Neal Stephenson's "REAMDE" (novel, on Kindle or paperback)... Within the first few chapters, there's a HILARIOUS debate between two fantasy authors regarding fantasy-game races, languages, names, etc... It's essentially a parody of all the random-sounding crap we've been playing for years.

No thanks; I prefer to build my own characters -- to whatever end. Let's see what Torchlight 2 brings.

It just wasn't very much FUN... I actually gave it a fair shot (~15-20min), and frankly it wasn't even as much fun as an old Paper Mario game -- yet somehow played similarly.
