[QUOTE="QualityJeverage"]I'm sick of hearing PC gamers bashing consoles 24/7. I have a gaming PC and I love it, but it's sitting right beside my Xbox 360, which is a few feet away from my PS2. They're all great systems, each with their ups and downs. It's elitist pricks like a lot of you that sometimes make me embarassed to be a PC gamer.ForlornHope

consoles=pcs for idiots who cant understand the tinyest bit about tech. they are weaker, have crap controls and just arent anywhere near as flexable and handy as a pc is. And then theres modding. Consoles are a boring limited waste of money.

That's entirely open to opinion. Consoles = PCs for people who DON'T want to spend their time worrying about whether or not their games will run well on their system. Believe it or not, not everyone in the world is into building and customizing their systems like you or me. There are tons of people who don't want the hassle. They want to be able to buy their game without worry. Is that really so bad? They don't have "crap" controls. They have DIFFERENT controls. PCs are more friendly to games like FPS' or RTS'. But when was the last time you saw a fun PC fighting game? Smash hits like Street Fighter would never work with a mouse and keyboard as well as they do with a controller. Same goes for many action games or platformers. While some platformers like Psychonauts have been great on the PC, there are lots of Action/Adventure games that I couldn't think of playing on a PC. Think about God of War, Ninja Gaiden, those games wouldn't be nearly as fun with a mouse/keyboard setup. Open your eyes and realize that the gaming market is far, FAR bigger than the System Builders here. Hardcore PC Gamers like you or I are, in the grand scheme of things, a niche. Perhaps more people would get into PC Gaming if it wasn't so full of arrogance and elitism. You guys place yourselves on a pedestal above anything else. If something isn't on a PC, you're too good for it. Heaven forbid you should be able to pick up a game and play without worry.

if people knew what they werwe doign there woudlnt be problems playing anything. Whatever a console can do a pc can do faster andbetter. consoles are just toys. They ahev cxrap controls because iamign with a joypad in a shooter is extremly annoying. A pc has very flexable contorle and can have a joypad attched to work with alot of its games. You get the best of both worlds.

Shooters are emerging very quickly on the consoles. With games like Halo (I know everyone here hates it, but you can't deny it's been wildly successful), and Half-Life releasing on the console as well. "Consoles don't have good shooters" is no longer an excuse.

indeed its not an excuse. Because they ARE crap. and so are RTS games. can you honestly say that rts games without a mouse are fun and easy to control?

In the past, they haven't been. But like shooters they've been emerging. Most notably, Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth II on the 360. It wasn't perfect, but it was the first time I've been able to play a console RTS without cursing it's existence. You my friend seem very arrogant when it comes to your opinions. You say console shooters are crap. Not only is that a pretty big generalization, you've got millions of fans out there who would disagree. So YOU don't like them. That does not mean they are completely devoid of quality. All it means is that you don't like them! Get off your high horse and realize that your personal opinion is no more important than anyone else's.
LMAO, why dont you go visit the x360, or better, the ps3 forums, go find out who the real ignorant sheep pricks are.WARxSnake
Oh I'm well aware of their stupidity. Don't you worry.

The general gaming public has no sense of morality and cannot see 10 minutes in front of them. As long as there are ways to pirate games, and there ALWAYS will be, people will pirate them. It's far too big a problem for us to stop.

By their very nature, any PC game is probably moddable with enough work. I wouldn't hold your breath on mods being released for that one though.

Steam games are expensive and have no resale value. I rather get boxed retail copies for cheaper banjobear_basic

Most stores are phasing out PC Game Resale anyway.

I remember when Steam first came out, everyone HATED it. It was buggy and clunky, and just not convenient at all. In the time since though, it's done a complete 180. Now, I love buying games on Steam because of how painfully easy and polished the whole experience is. Good job Valve.

Yeah I just built a rig and ordered Vista along with it. Guess I should've ordered Vista separately so I didn't end up with the OEM version.
