I'm not really a die hard fan of ninja fighting games too, but after playing the Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo, I have to say that's one of the best demos I've ever played. That game went from a no-name on my list to one of my most anticipated titles for the PS3. Other than that, check out the Motorstorm and Super Rub-a-Dub demos (Most people hate SRaD, but I thought it was pretty simple fun).

Yeah, I don't think it's quite as bad as most reviews say (it still isn't great), but it sure is gorgeous!

Not sure, but in parenthesis next to the setting it says 'HDMI', so I'm assuming that's what it means.

If you have an HDTV that supports that function and an HDMI connection, then it basically makes the colors richer and the blacks darker. Made all the difference in the world for me, so I suggest if you can that you use it. ;)

To answer the question: no, but they're not all bad. Goldeneye for N64 and Die Hard Trilogy for PS1are classics in my opinion. Spider Man 2 was probably the last 'descent' one.

Wow... that's most certainly awesome...:D I'm surprised though that I haven't heard much more about this. It seems like a major breakthrough. Now I just want to see it in action! I'd like to see a video or something.

Okay, my HDTV supports 720p/1080i with my PS3 being connected via HDMI, so I couldn't wait to download the update. Now I first tried out some DVD's and those turned out great and did notice that they looked better with the 720p upscaling. Then I tried some PS1/PS2 games and that is where the problem is. I made sure that the Game Settings were set correct (with "Full" and Smoothing "on"), but for whatever reason those games all look just bad as before, all jaggy and pixelated, especially the PS1 games (FFVII and Syphon Filter practically look like Donkey Kong Country for the SNES).

Can someone tell me: Am I blind or is something really messed up?

I'm glad somebody finally mentioned Prince of Persia. I absolutely loved the original, but I honestly passed on the sequels once the developers went for the more gory-"overly bad-ass" approach. I felt that it took away from the game and, if I didn't know any better, I'd say they were entirely different games! Not that I don't like gore, believe me, I love games like Soldier of Fortune and Gears of War. Same thing goes for Timesplitters. I loved the first two games, but the developers went for the blood route for the third game and I'd say it feels a lot different to shoot dozens of small little monkeys and have no blood, but then shoot dozens more in the next game and have pools of gore around the monkeys' bodies...

Okay, I'm a little confused about something and I hope someone can clear this up for me...

I got a new but some-what average quality 720p/1080i HDTV and obviously the games look better on that than the SDTV that I used to have. However, then I look at the first poster's pics of Resistance and it seems to look significantly better than on my HDTV. If that game only supports 720p, why would it still look so much better on that HDTV than mine? I suppose just because his TV is higher quality that any game regardless of its supported resolution would look better? (I hope that made sense...)
