Windows is merely a virus itself that has spread to people with a singular mindset to use it because it hit the market first and thats what most people use. It's not chosen because it's better, it's chosen because people are either afraid of change or just out right don't know that there is something better out there and that something better is MAC's.

[QUOTE="AdrianWerner"]

[QUOTE="Makari"] Unless you're also arguing that Thinkpads are overpriced, then take that up with Adrian_Werner and come back when you're done.Jamisonia

I don't mind paying extra for built quality and amazing classy look of thinkpad, I would guess Macbook fans similiarly have no problem with paying for built quality and flashy clean look either.

With deskops it might be a different tale, but for laptops specs aren't the most important thing imo

I use a ThinkPad, and for that premium price you get a lot more, more than you do with Macs, and the premium isn't anywhere as high as the Mac premium. There are things like the thinkvantage programs, the drain holes under the keyboard, the hard drive's roll cage, the Ultranav system, fingerprint readers, I noticed a few years ago that Mac people were bragging about the gryoscope they had in Macbooks to protect the hard drive, like it was some new thing Macs started, even though IBM invented that and put them in ThinkPads first.

Insofar as the Macbook Air goes, its a rip off plain and simple. They gutted that thing. I would suggest getting an IdeaPad or some other netbook, or getting the ThinkPad X300.

Video for funny Macbook Air vs ThinkPaid X300 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hnOCUkbix0

Guess what i'm back and i've heard quite enough of your Thinkpad rant, Thinkpad's have to be the worst Laptop's on the market, out of PC's or MAC's, i've used them and not only are they built like crap but there not even worthy to be mentioned in the same breath or sentence as a Macbook. PC commercials and PC fans here always forget to mention the most important thing, the operating system and the reliability of that operating system and Windows continues to be the most hacked, bug ridden, virus getting OS on the market and that alone is worth replacing it for a MAC.

For the most part any comparatively built PC running Windows 7 will outperform a Mac for less money. Although there are some things Macs are better for. I believe graphic design is always the go to thing people point to, as something Macs do better at. Interestingly though, for Macs being so good at graphic design I find it unusual that there is no MacBook tablet, since tablets are something used a lot by graphic designers. f

Actually the Apple Tablet is in development as we speak and will most likely be released later this year.

[QUOTE="RPG-explorer"][QUOTE="AdrianWerner"]I'm talking about how they come off in real life, not movie

AdrianWerner

All any of us have to go on in real life is the occasional conferences and news clips or supposed magazine and newspaper quotes, none of that actually let's us know the real person on either side of the fence.

sure, I'm just judging by what we're shown and Jobs has been showing douchery again and again.

it's like with currect Activision CEO...we don't know how he's in reality, but this doesn't stop us from caling him names :)

Well i can't speak for you, but i'm not in the habit of labeling anyone or calling them names until i really get to know them and see how they act towards me or other people and i haven't seen enough from Steve Jobs or Bill Gates to make those kind of comments, because i don't really know them, only the people closest to them really know how they are, the rest of us never will.

[QUOTE="RPG-explorer"]Oh really Bill Gates is a nicer guy than Steve Jobs, how do you know that ?, know them personally do you ?, because unless you do, you have no facts to base that statement on. AdrianWerner

Well..unless they played artificial roles like Oscar worthy actors for entire decades..Gates has always been a nice, calm man, while Jobs always comes off as horrible douche.

If your referring to how they were in the movie Bill Gates was no saint by any means he disregarded his friends new car and cracked it up when he borrowed it. He constantly yelled at all his employees as well, and worst of all he stole from a guy his company was supposed to be in business with and making software for. So Gates is no better.

[QUOTE="RPG-explorer"][QUOTE="AdrianWerner"]Ermm..Nokia has sued Apple for those patents..every single other cell phone manufacturer is paying Nokia for using those patents, it's just Apple who's too arrogant to do so. Sorry, but this is a lot stronger "proof" than a movie that's in the end supposed to be an entertainment, not documentary

Every company steals ideas from others, Apple isn't any different.

AdrianWerner

Maybe so, but when things first began with Apple and Microsoft and the personal computer, Microsoft stole the biggest thing of all and Bill Gates admitted it.

Apple also played dirsty with Xerox, using them like hell for cheap. MS might have been "heavily inspired" to the point of copying, but Apple never was capable of proving it enough in court

Plus...say what you want..but Bill Gates sure is a lot nicer guy than Jobs ;)

[QUOTE="RPG-explorer"]We're not talking about cell phone stuff here and before you make that accusation please present the proof of that theft i used the actual movie based on there true stories as my reference for people to use your just spouting that Apple stole this patent, how do we know they did ?AdrianWerner
