[QUOTE="IronBass"]I hope this time is an interesting mission, at least (something like what Double Agent did), because No Russian was boring and felt very pointless; it didn't add anything to the game.Jesus_on_fire

Lol yep, Thank god we could skip that mission by feigning 'moral outrage' :P

Obviously, you guys didn't really play MW2. No Russian was in all essentially, the reason you did the things you did after it.

Take a month off and spend time with your partner? Bring forth all the old IW classics and replay them? Run to the pub and celebrate with alcohol?

The biggest game of the year is officially ONLINE, and I'll probably take a week off and play some good ole' IW games.

Either you're trolling, or he's clearly doing it.

Diablo III is a game that will be lucky to hit sales more than 6 million in its lifetime.

MW3 is a game that will sell anywhere between 7 - 10 million units in its first 24 hours on the market.

MW3 will destroy Diablo III without any difficulty whatsoever.

Depends how they go about it. If it involves bombs going off in London i wont be buying the game. Ninja-Hippo

Lol, you are going to let that decide whether or not you're buying the game? Kinda harsh.

it will be worse then no russian... using a "shock value" mentality works well on the first attempt...but when it continues to be done then it's no longer an "ohhhhh and aww" thing and becomes annoying... if this is true it will be interesting how london deals with it, since england is the 2nd biggest market for cod if am right....eboyishere

Hopefully, it won't affect the sales negatively. These developers probably deserve all the praise and sales they can get.

We've reportedly learned that one of the mission of this year's biggest entertainment product, Modern Warfare 3, will involve a "terrorist attack in London".

Will this be bigger than 2009's controversial "No Russian"?

day one buy

Call of Duty never dissapoints

HaloinventedFPS

I'm with you on that one. Battlefield's got nothing on the King. Not in terms of sales, in terms of quality, longevity, graphics etc. I'm actually from Sweden (DICE = Swedish develoeprs), but even I wouldn't be stupid enough to claim a statement as stupid as "BF3 will be better than MW3".

[QUOTE="Solid_Denton"]

The hate is getting stupid at this stage. I even see people hating on the supposed boxart. People hating on the larger maps and destructible enviroments "Buh teh Battlefield had it first !!!". Give the game a chance for all we know the graphics could be superb and it could have dedicated servers and some anti-campers stuff. If it has dedicated servers then that will pretty much fix most peoples beef with the COD series. So all that I am saying is that Activision or Bobby Kotick has never done anything to hurt you have they ?? And this isn't about them this is about the fact that Infinity Ward could be making a superb product. So when the reveal gameplay is shown don't go into the video with a big sour head getting ready to hate on it no matter what and actually wait and see if it looks good.

Phazevariance
Battlefield Bad Company 2 was a far better game than COD:MW2... far far better. MW3 will be yet another call of duty, with the exact same running and gunning.

Both were different games, with different types of play, different gameplay etc. The one that loved MW2 didn't love BC2 and vice versa. MW2 was a lot more popular than BF2 could dream of. MW2 also outscored BF2. These two facts support the argument that you have obviously no idea what you're talking about.

[QUOTE="RRTTWAAA"] Halo: Reach Crysis 2 Battlefield 3 Killzone 3 Just three examples of FPS games that were greatly affected by the features implemented by Call of Duty 4. Every FPS nowadays is a CoD clone. If CoD4 didn't change the FPS in any way, I doubt there would be an IGN article on how "it destroyed the world". Get real and stop trolling.N30F3N1X

Merely listing a bunch of games as examples is irrelevant. You aren't proving anything with that other than your inability to build a proper argument.

In what ways is any of them influenced by CoD4? Right, in absolutely no way, you just think they are because you don't know any serious FPS.

"Every FPS nowadays is a CoD clone" go play Half Life Episode 2 or Crysis.

You're the one who should get real and stop trolling.

From IGN: "Come on, you've been sensing it for a while. You've looked on in despair as yet another FPS is released that wants to be Black Ops." "Even formerly unique FPS franchises aesthetically outside CoD's jurisdiction towed the line to some extent: Killzone 3's heavier sci-fi tread couldn't escape the prevalence of identically-implemented perks and killstreaks; neither could Crysis 2, despite its dog-tag riff on the former's familiar theme. And Homefront? THQ might be hurling optimistic press release confetti into the air to placate investors, but every gamer knows the truth at the heart of that disappointment. " "Call of Duty 4 didn't do much to innovate, but sometimes changing your stripes is all that's needed, and the rest will follow. Ironically, hilariously, everyone else followed, and continue to do so." I recommend you to read the article, stop trolling and realize the facts like you should do. Call of Duty owns the FPS genre now, and there's nothing you can do about it.
