I can't believe how stupid developers there are nowadays, how can people like Bethesda and Naughty Dog release games close to The King. I mean I like both the Elder Scrolls and Uncharted franchise, and look forward to U3 and Skyrim, but I don't want their sales to be destroyed by The King, so I think they should re-think about the release, so the future releases won't get affected. Maybe in February - April 2012? ME3 has already moved.. Thought?

Biggest game in the world? Didnt the Magazine already have a feature on Uncharted 3?

Gilgamane
Modern Warfare 3 will sell more in 2.5 minutes than Uncharted 3 will manage in its entire lifetime. So I don't see how you're reasoning here.

Technically the biggest game in the world in the sales department probably belongs to a Nintypublished game.Activsion got luckywith the COD fanchise, but I don't know how long this luck will keep the franchise alive.

Uh, CoD: Black Ops was recently hailed as the history's biggest game, in revenue. And The King is a sequel to the best-selling action title of all time--Modern Warfare 2. So it's safe to say that The Biggest game in the World Returns, come November.

I meant in sales not profit. Obivously BO had more revenue because people bought the limited editions of the game because these versions cost $150.

No, it was rather a combination of many buying the game, and it not going down in price. Not only did Black Ops absolutely explode in sales in the year of 2010, selling close to 16 million only in UK and the U.S., it was also the best-selling game in Europe and America for the first quarter of 2011.

Black Ops already outsold MW2 on PS3 and note MW2 last time i checked was like over 10million on the console alone thats not counting how much is it on the 360. so black ops sold more on both systems than mw2 and since a lot of people still love Mw2 i would guess Mw3 will even sell more than black ops :P.. this series sells like crazy especially on consoles

I wonder why that's not the case with the PC? Greedy users who have nothing better to do, than pirating (stealing money).

[QUOTE="RRTTWAAA"]ROFL @ the haters, I just provided a link clearly proving that Black Ops is more popular than Facebook, and yet people refuse to accept it, as if Activision was making this up. :lol:danish-death
It's not more popular than facebook, but the average gamer is more online in BO than the average user of facebook. Please explain how BO is more popular than facebook?

I've already posted a link to prove that, maybe you just didn't read the OP and went straight here bashing? It's been proved that BO is more actively played than FB is actively used, this making Black Ops more popular.

It's not the biggest game in history revenue-wise. World of Warcraft is. WHat they said is that it's sales brought more money than sales of any other game.

If you can't read texts, get some glasses. That will solve your problems. Call of Duty: BO is the top-grossing video game in history, the Avatar of video games. Now, while Avatar was a crappy movie, Black Ops is a well-made game with terrific MP and great SP.

http://www.facebook.com/press/info.php?statistics

People on Facebook
More than 500 million active users
50% of our active users log on to Facebook in any given day
Average user has 130 friends
People spend over 700 billion minutes per month on Facebook

Stop it, you're just ignoring fact now.

gaming25

Comparing this to that, how do you explain the fact that Black Ops is the top-grossing video game title in history?

He gave you the facts. 500 million users >>>>>> 20 million.

Facebook is free, Black Ops isn't. Of course that's going to be the case. :? Black Ops still made more than your favourite game, though.

[QUOTE="RRTTWAAA"][QUOTE="gaming25"] They are telling you that the information isnt an indicator of how active it is. 3 more minutes average means nothing when the amount of people on Facebook a day completely obliterates Black Ops.ActicEdge

And you don't know that... According to information, they're very close.
