@Jinzo_111887: Day-one patches are very rarely to make sure that the game works *at all,* they're typically to fix minor bugs. And it's not like mods don't get patches either.
@Jinzo_111887: This could work if the mods were the sort that required QA. I used to say I'd never pay for mods and the reason was because I didn't want to pay for something that might not work or might not work with my other mods. Here, we were told Bethesda would provided quality assurance to make sure that didn't happen--turns out they chose to allow mods that didn't need QA in the first place... which are also the kind that just aren't worth paying for.
This could have worked, but Bethesda seems to see this as a way to get microtransactions into the game. Pass.
@sellingthings: If you legitimately hope that people lose their jobs and people who like Nintendo games are deprived of something they enjoy, then I legitimately feel sorry for you.
PC certainly has a higher monetary barrier to entry, but with free online play, incremental upgradability and cheaper games, there's no doubt that PC is cheaper in the long for the most dedicated gamers. For instance, looking at cheapshark.com right now I could pick up Saint's Row 4 and Telltale's Batman for less than the price of a pizza. Or I could go the humble bundle and pick up THREE indie games with steam ratings above 90% for $1. $1!
And that's how you wind up with 600 games in your steam library...
