@Cyber_Akuma: No, in his question it's not. Like I said it very well could have been that he was asking or the rep thought he was asking about a family share plan. But even if he was asking what you think, it could be that logging in on one account logs you out on another. Again, nothing about how accounts work is mentioned.

@Cyber_Akuma: And again, the article is reaching for a conclusion based on an exchange that does not even include the word "account."

@Cyber_Akuma: And my whole point is: "how do you know that?" Not from this article, that's for sure.

@Cyber_Akuma: I'm not sure understand your complaint. I thought it was that it was not possible to log into your account on a new system without (I) contacting Nintendo and (II) unlinking your account from another device. The line I quoted seems to suggest that an account can be relinked manually, so (I) doesn't seem to be an issue. I could be wrong on this point, but I don't see any reason as of yet to think that this is going to be complicated.

That leaves (II). That could be an issue, but it could be as simple as if you in on a log a new device, you're logged out on your old device. And when you log back in on your old device, you're logged out on the new one. That might be a little annoying, but it's nothing major. OTOH, nintendo might make you physically log out of your account on your old device, before it's even possible to log in on a new device. That would be stupid, but... Nintendo. But I don't see anything in the article or video that favors either of these options.

Nintendo might very well do something stupid wrt to hardware-account linking, but I don't think the article really suggests that, and think the article is reading a book's worth into a statement that never once mentioned accounts and came in response to a question that never mentioned accounts once.

I am not a nintendo fanboy--I don't own a nintendo console and will probably never buy a switch--but this article really jumps the gun. All the guy asked was "if I bought a switch for me and a switch for my kids, would I need to buy the game twice so we could both play it." Nothing about whether the game could "exist" (be installed?) on two systems linked to the same account and nothing about whether he could log into the same account on two devices. He did not even specify whether his kids would be on the same account that he was. Between the vague question and the translation, it's entirely possible that the rep thought he was asking (or maybe he really was asking) about something like the family share plan.

@Cyber_Akuma: In their announcement about linking games to accounts, Nintendo said that "By re-linking your Nintendo Account after initializing the console, it will be possible to redownload any software or DLC purchased using that account." That suggests it will be a fairly easy process that you perform whenever you turn on the machine for the first time.

At any rate, the article jumps the gun on it's conclusion. All the guy asked was "if I bought a switch for me and a switch for my kids, would I need to buy the game twice so we could both play it." Nothing about whether the game could "exist" (be installed?) on two systems linked to the same account, nothing about whether he could log into the same account on two devices, and he did not even specify whether his kids would be on the same account that he was. Between the vague question and the translation, it's entirely possible that the rep thought he was asking (or maybe he really was asking) about something like the family share plan.

@drprophecy: I just don't think an action game can be great if it runs at 30 FPS. It's like trying to be a great sprinter that runs on one leg.

@drprophecy: FPS isn't about graphics. It's about *gameplay.* A game looks exactly no better or worse at 1, 30, 60, 120, or 1,000,000 fps. But it plays better. It handles better. It has less input lag. It's more *fun* to play. At 30 fps every single movement feels sluggish. As a result, instead of getting lost in the world or mechanics of a game, I'm simply trying to endure the game.

I'm not a graphics fetishist. My most anticipated game this year is Pyre. My most played games includes graphical non-standouts like FTL and Fallout New Vegas. I haven't passed on buying a PS4 to put alongside my PC because I stare down my nose at the graphics in Uncharted 4 (which look better than most of the games I'm playing now anyway). I pass because most console games prioritize resolution and gfx over fps. That is, I pass because most console games prioritize graphics over gameplay.

@drprophecy: I think Sony has good exclusive IPs, but so many of them run at 30 fps even on the pro. Which, for me at least, is just a non-starter. I'll take 1080/60 over 4k/30 8 days a week.

@kiwi15499: I didn't know that. Still, if they don't have to name it after the whole setting, they don't have to set it in hammerfell. There's probably some badass city name in Valenwood or Elsweyr.

Also, is Black Marsh not an option? Cause, that's a really badass name.
