Anyway, got some good and bad things going. Bought some games. Forza 2, Bullet Witch, Gears, RB6 vegas, C&C, LotRII, Chrome Hounds. Some were rebuys but SOOOOOOOO woth it! DAN, MARTIN I NEED A 360 dang it...Im crying on the inside.....Let us rain fire on Burnout when I return...until then say a prayer...and buy me a 360 that works:lol::P

So not only did my PD0 game disc just crack in half almost for no appernt reaosn moments ago...my Oblivion disc is crapped out:( The very first copy of Obliivon I ever had had a crack from the center plastic to the disc....my second copy was suppose to be new off EBAY..It came with a HUGE ring scratch, which I fixed with a Disc DR......but I had to do it like 4 times and apparently the disc was to badly scratched and the fix was only temporary...Ill have owned 3 copys for the 360 and 1 for the PS3.....Seriously Bethesda shouls be S###ing me off right now LOL

Knights of the Old Republic, for the Xbox....so far it feels and looks amazing for a Xbox game...if it really is the Gem that every one says it is...Mass Effect will Nuke all other games as it's being made by the same company as KOTOR was made by. Still ahve not found KOTOR II or Birnout Revenge but my local game store says that friday they will have Forza 2, Burnout revenge and KOTOR II, with Burnout and KOTOR II being special order.....Damn Iam glad I canned my unwanted games and my PS3 LOL!

Real Gaming FTW!!!111!!! 

SO last generation I tried the whole manticore thing, or multi-console thing, and really I ended up just wasting a ton of money because since last gen the only console I really played was my Xbox last gen and my 360 this gen. Since the days of the NES I really only had 1 or 2 consoles never 3 until last gen. Sega dissapointed me always with stupid add-ons, and during Nintendos reign there was no one who could touch them.

Once the PS and N64 came out I owned both of those, yet did not get into the Saturn so I really still wasnt a manticore. With the release of the Dreamcast I finally hopped on board with the Dreamcast, The PS2, The Xbox, and the Nintendo GC, really the only gen I owned EVERY system and what a waste that was.  The Dreamcast failed, even thoiug it was one of the best systems last gen, the PS2 got really boring about 2 years in after I realized that Im not into anime, eastern, asian themed/based games. The GameCube was a joke plain and simple....had no 3rd party support.....well hardly none, and the Xbox filled the void the other 3 couldnt.

It had the games I wanted like Morrowind, Halo, HL2, there were a lot of games that just could not run on the PS2 with out being crippled and the Xbox could run them. They were the FPS and action games that had more of the western, american flavor if you will...not the Asian themed crappyness that for years was the base of me being a gamer....Now anything to do with Mario, Metroid, Zelda, JRPG's (for the most part) or anything that is anime based makes me sick.

 I want free-roam, worlds that never end, Games of intense, all-out war....things like Final fantasy, MGS, Shadow of the Colossus, etc. do not do it for me. Give me GTA, The Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, Kotor, Fable....things that the PS consoles will never have. Japan may have started gaming...but they have ruined it in my opinion. Say what youi want about MS....the 360 is great, and the only reason the Japs dont want it is not only do we not understand the Japanese market...but why bother? They simply dont want it because its american made...the only exception to this rule is the i-pod....anything else american doesnt belong over there...in there minds.

I guess my point is that last gen had I just had my xbox I would have been fine...I did not need to waste money like I did this gen on every system. This gen I have owned the PS3, the 360 and the Wii..... and really they ALL dissapoint me but the 360 really is the best of the 3. Its got the games the features and and royally owning Sony a the moment. I just sold my PS3 and really I dont care to probably ever pick another one up unless they really start showing improvments and make it a game console and not some stripped PC....supercomputer? Please the PS2 was touted as the sdame thing...its anything but a supercomputer.

So basically it seems this gen and last gen I have been a MS fanboy....which right now is the thing to be. Does this mean I will write blog post about how teh Sony suxxors and start trolling forums...no but I wont waste any more money on another console until Sony proves they are even in the running......I do hope the Wii fails misserably lol

"Umm....a little early for doom and gloom but I do think we will see MGS4 on the 360 a year after it hits the PS3, multi-disc or not, its possible. Home looks cool in therory, but still its not the dedicated conection, and friends list that LIVE gives me. We will still not only have the friends list in the XMB but yet another seperate friends list for home. If Sony wants to compete they gotta make everything aceesible through one medium, either the XMB or home....hopefully they will just can the XMB and use home for all communications like private chat, and the ability to listen to custom music while gaming etc. All features that the 360 has available in there dash board, not 5 different things running 5 different things.

I hope Home is the answer....you think I wanna pay $50.00 a year for LIVE?...Hell no I dont, but I do because so far with the 360 I get a better online experience and a dash board that controls everything, in ONE place. I thought Sony touted the PS3 as being Superior from the begining?.....Right now its anything but Superior, only thing better is the Disc format.

The PS3 is a great value if you want a decent PC, with decent multimedia features, and a blu-ray drive...but it fails at what its suppose to be first and foremost and that is a Sony PS console.....not ONE game looks superior to the 360's games other than Oblivion.......If Sony wont utilize there own hardware...how can 3rd parties. Sony wont fail completely but they will play catch up for a few years....maybe it will humble them and they wont make empty promises anymore. "

 

Honestly who can argue with that logic?......Only Sony suckers would argue with that.....I pretty much went from loving the PS3, to despising it, because the lack of effort Sony is putting into it as a gaming console.....yet to say it will completely fail is retarded........I used to think I was a multi system guy.....why bother, the glichiest system of them all is the best this Gen...LMAO!

My PS3 3 games 575.00. maybe the PS3 will acyually be a gaming console some day. Blu-ray and the cell are not proving themselves yet. The 360 has more games I want.....the PS3 is not worth it just for Folding@home lol. Anyway just a quick thought I thought id blog, sorry PS3 buds, but the PS3 just isnt worth it:(.....maybe in the future when it plays something besides BD movies, and prints photos.

 

All I can say is the Halo 3 beta is more of the same, and for me thats just not good enough. The visuals are slightly improved over Halo 2, and there are a few new weapons. I dont even bother playing the beta anymore, its lame. Halo is lame. The third just feels to rehashed to enjoy. I loved Halo and halo 2, but after playing the beta its time to move on to something else.

So I bought C&C and im LOVING IT! Its just so damn addictive. The controls work perfectly, the visuals are great, its just a great game. Also bought RB6: Vegas.....WHy Im not sure. I HATEDF IT when I first played it, but gave it another rent and decided to buy it, its a god game......I still say though that the graphics sure dont do the unreal engine any justice though :lol:

Guess thats all for now........ Still having second thoughts on my PS3. I mean do I just keep it in hopes that in a year or 2 a game that Im interested in will come out for it.....do I sell it and rebuy when games come out for it, or just scrap it all together. Not sure what to do really.

I played Mercenaries for the original xbox tonight, which I thought I had played before but got it confused with freedom fighters, anyway, what a spectacular game!

Its like GTA meets the military:P Seriously though, a great assortment of weapons, semi-openended gameplay, great effects, graphics and gameplay make this  game to be excellent:D It shouldnt be missed.

Its friggin awesome, I cant wait for Mercs 2:D:D:D:D

Ive been so obsessed with Resistance and Oblivion, Motorstorm has escaped me a bit. I mean I played it a fair amount, but the past 2 nights I have really dug in......and now I wanna dig out.

Here is the Bad:

Not enough Single player modes.

Not enough On-line modes

Great selection of cars...too bad they all handle the same:evil:

F***ING S****Y Sound track, that doesn't fit once you realize there is what seems like the same 5 songs playing over and over again.

Lack of race tracks kills this one. Same 8 tracks, different time of day. Mimics the Sound track problem only it seems there are more tracks then songs...but not many.

 

The Good:

Fantastic physics!

Outstanding Car models!

Great lighting and textures!

Awesome terrain deformation!

Good doesn't out weigh the bad.

And The GEARS/Wii award for another average-to- mediocre game goes to tahdah! MotorStorm.

Thanks devs for pulling me in the first week and flushing me towards the end. Now MotorStorm can join the ranks of Gears and the Wii as being officially.....SHELVED!

This one SEAMED great but got really boring, and I just couldn't stand it anymore.

The GEARS/Wii award for average-to-mediocre games will be the offical award I give to....crap.

Edit: Just to clear things up yes I did give Gears a 8.1. Its one of the few games I reviewed before finishing it. I was about half way through the game at the time of review and thought: it cant get worse....I was wrong. Really my tilt should have been lower because I really didnt toatally enjoy the game, especially towards the end and it really wasnt worth the money.

Its similar to motorstorm, Love it at first, hate it later. I should pull the Gears review which I actually will. The game sucked and doesnt deserve a 9.6. or even a 8.1. Will I re-review it, probably not. At the time I felt it deserved a 8.1 but now I dont, and didnt after beating it. It will be the last time I review a game mid way. Games will be beaten before reviewed from now on.
